RE-UPDATED: Cheney Blackwater Thugs Sentenced To Life And 30-Year Prison Terms For 2007 Slaughter Of 14 Iraqi Civilians Wounding 17 Others

     Tuesday, 14 April 2015, WASHINGTON, D.C. - Although former not-really-elected Vice-President "Pigheart" Dick "Criminal Notorious" Cheney has yet to be brought to justice in the United States or overseas for his central role in Bush-Cheney Administration CIA torture war crimes against humanity about which acts of torture Cheney upon release of a summary of the United States Senate Torture Report stated he would "do it again" if given the chance to commit further acts of torture nevertheless the noose does appear to be tightening with the conviction and sentencing of at least some of the first of Cheney's worldwide criminal conspiracy of the several times since renamed Blackwater "Blackdeath" contractor thugs made up among others of mercenaries, felons, early release violent prisoners, psychopaths, sadists, the dishonorably discharged, murderers, assassins and the criminally insane four of whom have been brought to justice in a Washington, D.C. Federal Court where the four Blackwater "guards" were convicted last year of a host of extremely violent crimes stemming from the horrific slaughter unleashed by them in 2007 upon innocent Iraqi unarmed civilians killing 14 and injuring 17 others who were caught in a traffic circle in Baghdad's crowded Nisoor Square in what was called a "wartime atrocity".
     Cheney's Blackwater "Blackdeath" contract ex-guard killer former army sniper Nicholas A. Slatten convicted of murder last year was sentenced to life in U.S. federal prison for his role in the slaughter which ignited worldwide outrage and belated wonderment among many as to why Cheney's homicidal maniacs were engaged at all by the U.S. Government to serve in various misnamed roles such as "guards" as well as paid allegedly with cash in the form of palettes of U.S. $100 bills lowered from helicopters for a great many grossly inadequate incomplete construction projects in Iraq which put United States armed forces at increased risk of death and injury due to late and or fraudulently shoddily or never completed projects such as airstrips.
     The other Cheney Blackwater "Blackdeath" contract ex-guard killers Dustin Heard, Evan Liberty and Paul Slough faced multiple counts of manslaughter, attempted manslaughter and using firearms while committing a felony for which they also were convicted in the Washington, D.C. Federal Court last year for their roles in the slaughter of the Iraqi civilians. Prosecutors argued in a daylong hearing that 30-year sentences were not harsh enough as the defendants had continued to maintain their innocence and expressed no remorse claiming they were "under attack" although they had been convicted on the finding that their homicidal rampage was an entirely unprovoked ambush unleashed upon Iraqi civilians caught in traffic.
     Defense attorneys asked for leniency for the killers who repeatedly invoked religion including citing "God as my witness", exoneration in "this life and the next", as well as Dustin Heard telling the judge that he did nothing "wrong", which judge also was told the "verdict is wrong" by Nicholas Slatten sentenced to life in prison for murder for "having started the melee with a precision shot through the head of a young man stopped at the intersection" before also telling the judge "[y]ou know I am innocent, sir". U.S. District Judge Royce C. Lamberth according to The New York Times "strongly disagreed'. He rejected all requests from all parties telling the court that "[b]ased upon the seriousness of the crimes, I find the penalty is not excessive".
     Former not-really-elected Vice-President "Pigheart" Dick "Criminal Notorious" Cheney once head of the giant Halliburton all-purpose government contractor oft-rewarded with enormously profitable no-bid U.S. Government contracts supposedly cut his ties with that company while "serving" (himself) in the office of Vice-President although his rapidly escalating reported income while "serving" (himself) as Vice-President would seem to belie that claim. Halliburton has since payed out $1.1 billion to settle claims against it for its responsibility in the Deepwater Horizon oil rig explosion and delayed response leading to a subsequent environmentally disastrous huge oil spill filling the Gulf of Mexico (aka the "Gulf of Corexit") which British Petroleum (BP) now is using to advertise its self-described alleged status as a model corporate citizen while environmentalists and HBO's VICE program have maintained that claim to be as far from the truth as it could be as the Gulf is still filled with an oil and highly toxic Corexit "dispersant" mixture far more toxic than the oil itself actually now merely hidden beneath the surface by BP as reported here in an earlier post. BP's payout to claimants injured by BP's massive oil spill disaster now has topped $5 billion and is expected to reach nearly $10 billion in total payouts.
     During that time of alleged "service" to the United States Cheney also seemingly maintained a very cozy relationship with his Blackwater "Blackdeath" contractor outfit as it was rewarded amply with contracts including in war zones newly created by the Bush-Cheney administration as exemplified above as well as in worldwide positions serving in such dubious roles as "replacing" or "supplementing" Marine guards stationed at worldwide U.S. embassies for example in Pakistan where a local Blackwater office was raided and found by Pakistani police to contain an arsenal of illegal criminally-oriented weapons such as blackjacks, sawed-off shotguns and many others reportedly used in part violently to control long lines of Pakistani visitors waiting outside the United States embassy there. Meanwhile stateside in Texas Dick "Pigheart" Cheney in 2006 with a shotgun shot to the heart area Texas attorney Harry Wittington nearly killing him.
     Cheney also as mentioned above in addition to having maintained his close ties to Halliburton and the many times renamed (after each outrage) Blackwater "Blackdeath" outfit has been found to have played a central role in the Bush Administration's torture program carried out by the CIA committing war crimes against humanity all of which to date has not been known to have resulted in any criminal action against Cheney (who recently was interviewed by Playboy magazine) at home or abroad.        Thursday, 23 October 2014, WASHINGTON, D.C. - One only need review the released income tax returns from the two terms of former U.S. Vice-President "Pigheart" Dick "Criminal Notorious" Cheney during this period of moderately paid "public service" instantly to see the astounding degree Cheney apparently used the Nation's second highest office of Vice President as a multi-faceted cashflow machine to accumulate vastly more (reported) wealth than he ever had prior to that while heading Halliburton Company the huge multinational "oilfield services" company that has been charged with, found guilty of and settled for an unfathomable quantity and range of worldwide misconduct charges often encompassing brazenly lawless acts of criminal, civil, governmental,  enforcement, regulatory and private violations without limitation of which to list a comprehensive record of just non-confidential resolutions could consume entire lifetimes endlessly compiling Halliburton and related entities' misdeeds which like its cashflows ever accumulating faster than they ever would or could be compiled to conclusion (excluding those never even discovered or pursued).
       A few examples confined just to Halliburton Company involving alleged seriously "bad acts" could be expected to help inform readers' understanding as to the brothers-in-arms (literally) as well as the public and not so public evident dominance of Halliburton whether formal or informal very often by former CEO and Chairman of the Board Dick "Pigheart" Cheney in deference to his corporate and political power, degree of cunning persistence, depth of ruthlessness and seemingly unbounded capacity for depravity should anything like a person, law, nation or necessary war to destroy it (other than its oil producing assets) in any way dare interfere with an enormous need for the fulfillment of rank greed and power to the lowest insatiable level.
       As to its apparent unflagging intensity it almost seems akin (but completely contrary to) the drive to achieve a near unconquerable lofty goal of perceived monumental human greatness one feels the draw of destiny to accomplish ultimately to give thanks and express gratitude, but he here somehow rather instead drilling ever downward into some filthy black muck rather than soaring ever higher to help all humankind finally to accomplish the distant promise of the greatest of gifts fulfilled. But with such will instead buttressed by a malevolent crumbling foundation of corruption it is destined for a wretched collapse from the shattered individual up to its entire global enterprise with an unimaginable (and unacknowledged) capacity for "collateral damage" to both the innocents (and not so innocents) caught up in what to some is a seemingly clearly scripted course for disaster producing tragedy of potentially apocalyptic proportions for an untold and often largely unpredictable population of all inhabitants of the Earth expected and not.
       The first of just a few instances of Halliburton Company's frequent proximity to controversial events of catastrophic proportions raised here is the disaster of the "Deepwater Horizon" deep sea drilling platform series of explosions and the resulting loss of human and other life and as well as the viability of a huge body of water that this world cannot afford to have threatened, harmed nor killed resulting in extensive persistent pollution (often hidden by the "BP cleanup" by mixing it with the notorious toxin Corexit which mixes with oil only to form a more toxic semi-solid layer of poison hovering just feet below the surface where regulators cannot so readily see it) in the Gulf of Mexico and much of its coastline. Halliburton Company in the "Deepwater Horizon" case ended up paying out $1.1 billion to settle litigants' claims against it.
       The Wikipedia entry linked to below is an excellent source of material on allegations of and subsequent action on several further deeply troubling and distressing events which can be read about in more detail there continuing with Halliburton Company coming to take a leading role as a federal contractor with Dick "Pigheart" Cheney having assumed the Vice President of The United States position. In the run-up to the allegedly long planned invasion of Iraq with Cheney's avid support before the United States even invaded Iraq in 20003 Halliburton was awarded a  $7 billion contract described as unusual as no one else was allowed to bid. Cheney had been CEO of Halliburton Company from 1995-2000, retired from the company with a $36 million severance package during the 2000 U.S. Presidential Election which miraculously landed both he and not really elected "President" George "little shrub" Bush in their respective positions despite their ticket having won neither the popular nor electoral vote. Cheney's Halliburton severance was later "augmented" by Halliburton amounting to almost another $40 million by 2004.
       Cheney reportedly stayed in frequent contact with Halliburton management according to some sources which meanwhile was the subject of a variety of continuing complaints now focusing more on allegations of Halliburton's demands of favoritism, special treatment and the like since Cheney took public office. Too lengthy to list here but worthwhile for background on Blackwater featured in this story because of its apparent close ties with and even possible growing out of some elements of Halliburton in some form like another former Halliburton subsidiary KBR which among other things was charged with having committed 38 rapes of women in boxcars and having left them their for 24 hours with no food or water.
       Meanwhle when BP brought claims that Halliburton had destroyed documentation demonstrating Halliburton's responsibility for the "Deepwater Horizon" tragedy Halliburton subsequently was found guilty of destroying evidence. Later yet the Nigerian government brought corruption charges in 2010 against the ever-busy Cheney and Halliburton which were settled by Halliburton for $250 million. Beyond this but not limited to it readers may also be interested to know that the Federal Contractor Misconduct Database details 10 instances since 1995 of Halliburton misconduct in this regard resulting in penalty payments of $791 million per offense. Also a further 22 such instances of misconduct have been determined to relate to former Halliburton Company subsidiary KBR.
        The Ninth Amendment because of the longstanding conduct of Cheney and related often intertwined companies believes it important to share with readers the background culture of Blackwater ("Blackdeath") which after several  name changes to relatively threatening names in the wake of lawsuits finally began changing its name to shall we say less laden more or less forgettable names in the wake of a large numbers of  charges, lawsuits and presumably settlements at least at locations not fully known but most likely spanning the globe. In another post previously reported here Blackdeath at one point was even given embassy security duties always traditionally the positions manned by marines.
       In Pakistan Blackdeath was performing outdoor "crowd control" which they accomplished by beating U.S. visa applicants with billy clubs as they tried to stand in line waiting to get in the embassy to apply for visas. Later local police arrested the Blackdeath contractors and took them back to their "business office" where they were charged with keeping a large stash of illegal (even in Pakistan) arms including blackjacks, sawed-off shotguns and similar thuggery weapons. An older Ninth Amendment post based on recent information at the time examined reports that Cheney in his Blackdeath and related and subsequently named business endeavors had managed to assemble one of the largest private security forces in the world often comprised of felons, early release prisoners, killers and large numbers of skilled or at least willing fighters and veterans with mercenaries and similar types as well filling its ranks.
       In any case please refer for detailed accounts of the trial that finally took place after an amazing series of U.S. prosecutorial blunders such as letting the statute of limitations for bringing charges lapse such that the prosecution had to be saved by a murder charge to the New York Times article and BBC report linked to below. Blackdeath to our knowledge came to prominence not surprisingly with Cheney achieving high office and access to U.S. Government funds which apparently were quite soon put to use at first reportedly preparing for the American military by building sub-standard housing, providing sub-standard meals and building aircraft runways that cracked apart on U.S. planes arriving on them in Iraq. Cheney's preferred method of payment as previously reported here was $100 bills wrapped and lowered on pallets from helicopters. In any case as these non-professionals became "security services"  the incident which brought some of these actors to justice clearly demonstrates their unfitness and inappropriateness for such jobs that should properly be done by trained U.S. servicepeople.
       Together with a reported predisposition in their Blackdeath culture that was "anti-Iraqi" although the United States and later some of the U.S. dutiful reluctant partners that showed up on behalf of the United Nations were reportedly there to "help" (the U.N. Building not built purposely inside the "Green Zone" subsequently tragically was destroyed by a truck bomb which with it killed the former Argentinian Secretary-General of The United Nations) on the day of the incident in question in the trial reported on here the Blackdeath security group for some reason heavily armed killed 14 Iraqi men, women and children stuck in a traffic intersection with "Guard" Slaten the sniper and the use by "Guards" Liberty, Slough and Heard of weapons including rocket propelled grenades and machine guns while the American military watched in apparent horror. Under United States law the use of a machine gun in the commission of a violent crime carries a mandatory thirty (30) year prison sentence. AR-15 Armed Masked Camouflaged Men In Body Armor Dropping From Unmarked Helicopters Chop Down Legal Marijuana Grows On Private Property Invading Mendocino County Northern California

       Tuesday, 30 September 2014, MENDOCINO COUNTY, CALIFORNIA - The Ninth Amendment editorial board encourages interested and/or concerned readers themselves and with credentialed media as quickly as possible to research remotely or where possible and safe also personally witness and document as well as disseminate to as many others as possible including documented first person reporting to appropriate law enforcement authorities (always with as many witnesses as possible) information now flowing into the Ninth Amendment in very recent and current most troubling reports also now appearing on CBS news, in the SFGate, and many other news sources some of which are named in the below linked-to Infinite Unknown blog postings itself providing other useful links of an apparent ongoing illegal invasion of Mendocino County, Northern California by AR-15 armed camouflaged men in body armor wearing masks rappelling from unmarked helicopters onto private property and destroying with machetes, chainsaws and like weapons legal marijuana plants before returning to the helicopters and disappearing.
       There is no indication that these illegal invaders represent law enforcement of any sort as they are reportedly without any such markings dropping onto private real property and destroying legally grown private property in circumstances which show no regard for public safety but rather themselves obviously pose a serious risk of injury or death to themselves or others in any number of ways. The local sheriff says that he does not "contract out" such work even for illegal marijuana grows. Likewise any claim that they are doing "environmental work" seems an obviously transparent lie given that they are operating under such circumstances in which they are acting in an intentionally intimidating and threatening military-style manner with military-style equipment including camouflage gear, body armor, AR-15 rifles and dropping by stealth from unmarked helicopters under cover rather than like wilderness landscapers as one might expect from persons doing environmental restoration work.
       Coincidentally the heavily armed camouflaged men who have refused to identify themselves when they have been confronted demonstrate a remarkable resemblance to the modus operandi of a locally operating "security" company most oddly named "Lear Asset Management" whose "chief" Paul Trouette has denied any involvement with the illegal activities although he refused to be interviewed by KPIX 5 CBS San Francisco television affiliate. Also coincidentally Lear Asset Management "security" company according to local residents operates out of helicopters with camouflaged men in body armor armed with AR-15  rifles and appears to be staffed by persons who as one resident commented could be working for "Blackwater". For residents and readers who do not think this is a sophisticated operation the Ninth Amendment suggests they take a look at the link below to the Time magazine cover piece perfectly timed to come to the defense of Lear "Asset Management" in the issue timed to just yesterday's date. Perfect. One cannot buy that kind of cover piece. Or maybe one can.
       Oddly or not the exact same thought crossed our minds at the Ninth Amendment with the rapidly growing trend of medical and even recreational marijuana legalization who indeed would be more appropriate to appear on the scene where there was the smell of cold, hard cash to be made but the latest incarnation of Blackwater forever changing its name trying to avoid pesky prosecutions for things such as arms violations, criminal violence, shoddy or never even performed paid work, and so on, as well as changing countries and identities to evade even more pesky matters such as capital crime and murder prosecutions. What a perfect time for Dick "Pigheart" Cheney's collection of thugs, felons, escaped or "early released" convicts, mercenaries and criminally insane psychopaths to appear on the scene to intimidate and destroy or kill the competition. Whether or not this is a Cheney operation it seems apparent that this invasion is the vanguard of Corporate America moving in on a newly legalized marijuana market that is and will be far too lucrative to allow it being left to ordinary hardworking small business operating Americans. As far as Corporate America is concerned there is no doubt but one group that the hard work will be done to profit enormously and that sure as hell is going to Corporate America and no Mom & Pop.
       We can almost imagine Dick "Pigheart" Cheney who recently emerged from the walking dead into the halls of the Capitol in Washington, DC to give Republican congresspersons his unsolicited, ignored advice to start as many wars as soon as possible in oil-producing countries perhaps just as an alibi having now realized that marijuana can be the new "oil" that he lives for as he snorts away imagining the helicopters dropping his murderous crews and pulling up the pallettes of piles of crisp, new hundred dollar bills which have always been his preferred form of payment.  Whoever is dropping down on Mendocino County we have a feeling most likely is intimately familiar with that infamous California prison just a ways down Highway 101 turn left and take the last exit before the bridge to Richmond.
       Whether or not this is the case one can be confident that Corporate America almost certainly are the ones really behind this. And if this were anyplace but the domestic United States we have little doubt those AR-15s would already be firing except that they would be M-16s as they have been in so many other countries where Corporate America most definitely would already have the blood flowing out in the jungle and the money flowing back to those tax-evading Corporate American numbered accounts in the Cayman Islands. If the good people of Mendocino County and others in places such as Colorado and around the United States legally getting into the marijuana business think this scenario unlikely the Ninth Amendment respectfully suggests that they just try imagining otherwise and quickly as well before the war is lost before they even realize it has begun. Keep these criminals in your sights and in the public eye and witness, document and report their every misdeed.
       Because this whole situation just stinks of the way Corporate America rolls.
