Senator Dianne Feinstein of California released the transcripts without the Judiciary Committee’s Republican chairman, Senator Charles E. Grassley of Iowa, almost certainly escalating partisan tensions on the committee CreditPete Marovich for The New York Times

       Saturday, 30 December 2017, WASHINGTON, D.C. - The New York Times reports that Trump foreign policy campaign adviser George Papadopoulos who already has pleaded guilty to lying to the F.B.I. and is cooperating with the Special Counsel Robert Mueller Trump-Russia investigation in May 2016 disclosed during a night of heavy drinking at a London bar with the top Australian diplomat there that "Russia had political dirt on Hillary Clinton." Papadopoulos reportedly had been told this information that Moscow had thousands of emails that would "embarrass" her about three weeks earlier which was even before the Democratic National Committee knew they had been stolen.
       The specific information that Papadopoulos gave to the Australian diplomat, Alexander Downer, is not known, but it was of sufficient concern that when the stolen DNC emails were publicly released two months later that Australia, one of the United States' closest "Five Eyes" allies, dispatched two Australian officials to inform the F.B.I. of the encounter with the Trump campaign aide Papadopoulos who appeared to have had advance "inside" information of Russia's theft of the released DNC emails. The F.B.I. had already become concerned about the Trump campaign's connections to Russia including because of Trump campaign aide Carter Page's travel to Moscow as well as after repeated warnings from European allies particularly British and Dutch intelligence as has been previously reported of Trump campaign members' suspicious activities which U.S. European allies' intelligence believed were of concern.
       It was at this point with knowledge of Russian hacking and release of stolen DNC emails having occurred as well as apparent advance inside knowledge of it by a member of the Trump campaign that the F.B.I. opened a highly secretive counterintelligence investigation into Russian election meddling as well as the Trump campaign's possible involvement with it. Contrary to one of several Trump largely nonsensical or factually inaccurate discredited counter-narratives attempted to be advanced by some with greater partisan than national security concerns this reported episode definitively now puts at least the current one favored that the F.B.I. investigation was launched based on the MI6 Steele Dossier (which in any case has proven to be accurate on every detail that so far can be verified) is not true.
       The F.B.I. investigation was launched for the reasons set out above which interested readers can read about in significantly greater detail in the article linked to below which also provides a great deal more information but does not answer critical questions including to what degree Mr. Papadopoulos kept senior Trump campaign officials apprised of what he knew and when about the Russians' activities as well as whether the Trump campaign had any involvement in those activities and when they first had knowledge of them. Depending on the timing and degree of any Trump team involvement in and/or knowledge of computer hacks and data thefts they also may be guilty without limitation for violation of U.S. federal computer.

Simpson and Peter Fritsch which exposes the Republican-led congressional intelligence (and Senate Judiciary) committees  as having "known for months that credible allegations of collusion between the Trump camp and Russia were pouring in from independent sources during the campaign" but keeping complete transcripts of that information from the public as Senate Judiciary Chair Chuck Grassley and especially (Recused) House Intelligence Chair Dope Devin Nunes have trafficked knowingly in false diversions including nonsensical "dossier" as well as meritless un-American Justice Department and F.B.I. attack narratives while neglecting their legitimate duties investigating Trump-Russia leaving United States national security vulnerable to continuing attacks in violation of their oaths to the Constitution as well as constituting apparent abuses of power and obstructions of justice as well as even suborning treason for which with sufficient evidence they should be prosecuted just as any other treacherous American would be.

UPDATE to 9 January 2018 Senator Dianne Feinstein (D-CA) senior Democrat on the Senate Judiciary Committee today unilaterally released the full transcript of the closed testimony from last summer of Glenn R. Simpson co-founder of Fusion GPS as he and co-founder Peter Fritsch called for in the New York Times op-ed from last week linked to below claiming the GOP-led committees before which Mr. Simpson had testified also including the House and Senate Intelligence Committees were selectively leaking testimony in escalating efforts to promote false narratives to initiate and fuel "fake investigations" to divert resources and attention from the Trump-Russia probes which they had been charged to undertake.
       The normally firm but respectful of decorum Senator Feinstein's somewhat extraordinary release of the transcript unilaterally without Chair Grassley (R-IA) who has essentially fabricated reasons not to release it despite having been recorded specifically promising to do so when Senator Grassley met with constituents in person in Iowa signals a growing partisan rancor as the GOP more aggressively has sought to derail the Trump-Russia probe even with the known very real unaddressed threat of ongoing Russian interference in U.S. affairs expected certainly to continue in upcoming 2018 elections. The House and Senate Intelligence Committees reportedly have had no intention of releasing their Fusion GPS testimony transcripts presumably on the fabricated premise that it would interfere with ongoing investigations. Prosecute Trump Felony Violations Of Logan Act The "Siberian Candidate's" Action To Defeat U.S. Foreign Policy In Russia, China, Israel And Elsewhere

     Monday, 2 January 2017, Washington, D.C. - The editorial board of the Ninth Amendment urges all appropriate federal prosecutors to do their sworn duty and immediately without delay initiate all necessary steps to commence the federal criminal felony prosecution of "Siberian Candidate" Donald J. Trump including for several of "Siberian Candidate" Trump's indisputably known violations of the "Logan Act" 18 U.S.C. § 953 the current text of which federal statute is set forth in its true and correct entirety below.

     This statute officially entitled "[p]rivate correspondence with foreign governments" provides that any private U.S. citizen who without U.S. authority in any way communicates with any foreign government with intent to influence the measures or conduct of that foreign government in relation to any "disputes or controversies" or to "defeat the measures" of the United States is in violation of the statute and shall be fined or imprisoned for not more than three years or both.

     "Siberian Candidate" Donald J. Trump indisputably has been and is in violation of the statute on its face because he currently continues to be and at all times before the present has been a private U.S. citizen unauthorized to act in any capacity for the United States government. Moreover it is axiomatic that "Siberian Candidate" Donald J. Trump's statutory violation(s) extend(s) to any other private U.S. citizen who attempts to act and/or has or conspired to act as set forth in the statute on "Siberian Candidate" Trump's behalf "directly or indirectly" including without limitation for example all Trump's co-conspirators. former and present employees, agents, campaign workers, volunteers, friends, colleagues. advisers, donors, contributors and those appointed and/or to be nominated for a position in any currently expected "Siberian Candidate" Trump presidential administration.

     "Siberian Candidate" Trump's felony violations of this statute are well-documented by his own widespread publication and communication of them to the public including federal prosecutors and widely known including without limitation his illegal and damaging intentional and highly dangerous interference with the United States "one China" policy in place since the administration of President Jimmy Carter, as well as his direct public invitation to and encouragement of the criminal Russian government's military and espionage intelligence agencies under orders from the highest official levels of the criminal Russian Government hostile to the United States to continue to engage in hostilities against the United States by committing both themselves and on their behalf by third parties the illegal theft and hostile to the United States release of the private communications of "Siberian Candidate" Trump's campaign opponent and by extension the private communications of a United States' major political party with "Siberian Candidate" Trump fully aware of his encouragement of the criminal Russian Government's continuing hostilities against the United States with the hostile intent of threatening both the United States' voting public/s and others' confidence in and the bedrock Constitutional integrity of the United States domestic democratic political and electoral institutions and processes.
     These hostilities against the United States including by the highest criminal official levels of the hostile foreign Russian government's direction and participation in intolerable active hostilities to interfere, influence, and invade the sanctity of the United States' presidential election cry out not for thoughtless encouragement from mindless criminal "Siberian Candidate" Trump but for fully justified and doubtless globally supported massive hostile retaliation by the United States including but not limited to against the highest levels of the criminal Russian government whose actions continue to include those meant to irrevocably damage the highest levels of the United States government and thus must be responded to with just and overwhelming retribution.

     "Siberian Candidate" Trump/s current public encouragement both of Israel and the criminal hostile Russian government to "hold out" until his apparently expected but currently non-existent administration takes office with "Siberian Candidate" Trump's stated current criminal actions directly both to "influence the measures and conduct" of those countries contrary to official existing United States government "disputes or controversies" with those countries, as well as "Siberian Candidate" Trump's present actions directly to "defeat the measures" of the United States government all clearly violate the statute.
     These include those articulated and demonstrated by the United States in the United Nations as to Israel which "Siberian Candidate" Trump actively attempted to sabotage by communicating to Israel that they should and could be ignored, likewise "Siberian Candidate" Trump's positive encouragement of continuing hostile criminal Russian government actions and conduct threatening the United States national security by communicating messages directly contrary to the present most serious official retaliatory signaling including by the United States current imposition of publicly announced further sanctions against the Russian government including the United States expulsion of Russian "diplomats" determined to be Russian spies acting under diplomatic cover.
      Criminal "Siberian Candidate" Trump's repeated statutory violations further are evidenced by his intentional interference with the United States observance of the critical "one China" policy mentioned above which in addition to seriously threatening sensitive China relations directly also is especially significant because its recognition further serves to help maintain China as the United States sole viable conduit with any semblance of some apparent measure of control over the entirely isolated most unpredictable highly militarized extremely dangerous nuclear weapon delivery capability determined hostile nation of North Korea.    

     In addition to the above indisputable publicly known "Siberian Candidate" Donald J. Trump criminal violations of the Logan Act which most readily come to mind are at least several others which have been reported and confirmed. Doubtless there are others known to the United States government and undoubtedly further violations which will come to be known to the United States government and perhaps the public in the coming weeks unless criminal "Siberian Candidate" Donald J. Trump's illegal and dangerous conduct is brought to an immediate halt as one component of the imminent initiation by federal prosecutors of criminal proceedings against "Siberian Candidate" criminal Donald J. Trump for his many brazen violations of the Logan Act.

     The editorial board of the Ninth Amendment most strongly believes and emphatically urges the immediate commencement of all viable official legal actions that may be brought against "Siberian Candidate" criminal Donald J. Trump be brought now in the less than two weeks before "Siberian Candidate" criminal Trump expects to be sworn into office facilitating any subsequent criminal prosecutions as soon as possible such that the day of "Siberian Candidate" criminal Trump's expected taking of office may never take place. 

     It should be frighteningly apparent to any conscious sane society that criminal "Siberian Candidate" Trump is far too disturbed to hold the United States presidential authority enabling him to be the sole individual given the singular legally unstoppable authority with or without any counsel whatsoever to initiate the launch sequence of any and all of the United States vast nuclear arsenal which after four minutes will be final and irreversible, as from the very moment that criminal "Siberian Candidate" Trump widely recognized even by members of his own party as perilously unfit were to take office the United States as well as the entirety of human civilization living around the globe immediately would face the most dangerous absolutely unacceptable imminent risk of catastrophic unpredictable total nuclear annihilation threatening all humankind and life the earth has ever known.

Facing 99 Years Indicted Texas Idiot Governor Rick "Payback" Perry Grins In Booking Mugshot As GQ Opportunity Then Returns To Perpetual Vacation An Excellent Example To All Defendants That The Criminal Justice System Is To Be Treated As A Joke

       Thursday, 28 August 2014, AUSTIN, TX - Following his indictment on two felony counts that could land him 99 years in prison unlike the previously reported New York Times editorial trying to appear non-partisan on the matter given the publicly known facts of Perry shutting down funding for the State's Public Integrity Unit (which just happened to cripple its investigation of Perry's pet "cancer" charity headed by Perry's crony and had been under criminal investigation by the Public Integrity Unit after another official there last year was indicted for irregularities concerning an $11 million grant for cancer research) conservative hypocrites instead have taken the opportunity to celebrate Texas Indicted Idiot Governor Rick "Payback" Perry's "celebrity" mugshot as reason to completely brush off the charges handed down by a Texas grand jury instead attempting to divert attention to what a self-assured defendant Perry makes briefly scoffing at the felony charges in his no-doubt new taxpayer paid-for get-up of nice suit and of course new de riguer eyeglasses which suddenly appeared following his legendary 2012 Republican National Debate appearance in which after nearly a one-minute silent lapse he spoke just seconds before 911 was to be called for "brain dead still standing".
       If Perry were permitted to carry his fearsome laser-sighted coyote-killing six-shooter for his mugshot due to his demonstrated prowess at defending either himself and others or his dog depending on which one of his conflicting accounts one might choose to believe (and because he is Governor) it is not apparent in his bemused mugshot. Moreover the apparently deep significance of Indicted Governor Perry's strategic "whatever" attitude in his brief public response to his indictment also implicitly demonstrated contempt not only for the grand jury but the entire criminal justice system under which it serves dismissing basically as absurd its indictment handed down.
       In case anyone missed the claimed intended point it was reinforced as the apparent focus of countless pundits who in other circumstances might not endorse such a generous laissez-faire attitude on the part of criminal defendants looking at 99 years in prison regardless of whether they believed they had committed a crime or not. And in case anyone was especially slow on the pickup or had trouble reading the charges for comprehension once again the mysterious "Sabo" conservative "Los Angeles street artist" came to the rescue with his easily comprehended Mad Magazine-like portrayal of Indicted Perry's mugshot with the "looking good" debonair of a man without a care (or brain) in the world.
       Sabo re-surfaces here after his last well-publicized "Abortion Barbie" posters which depicted a woman with the face of Texas GOP Woman-Hater Greg "Payday" Abbott's opponent Wendy Davis in this year's Texas governor's race when she was in town with her abdomen scissored open and white and colored babies falling out of her to the ground and plastered on public fixtures like bus shelters just where persons such as young children could see them. "Sabo" in the case here of the Indicted Perry "Looking Good" picture had "no comment" on whether the Indicted Perry mugshot attempted enhancement from idiot to carefree idiot with eyeglasses had been commissioned.
       The Ninth Amendment does have the strong suspicion that given the timing of the appearance of Sabo's doings as described above that apart from his stated intention of . . . sorry Sabo no free advertising for you. . . he either is on the GOP's indirect payroll (by the taxpayers of Texas like everything else Indicted Perry does) or in any case Perry and Abbott get a quantity discount on this deal. Meanwhile when not commissioning gruesome true to his amply demonstrated woman-hating pathos GOP A.G. Greg "The General" Abbott can do "positive" TV spots where he is vouched for by his mother-in-law (only woman he could get) with reference to church-going as his more-or-less only interest although it is not specified if women are permitted at his church.
       Meanwhile Wendy Davis can be portrayed as a "negative campaigner" for her spot recounting GOP Abbott "The General"'s lonely judgment that an employer bore no legal responsibility for failing to warn that the door-to-door salesman it employed to enter people's homes was a registered sex offender even after the employee then raped and murdered a wife expecting to be shown a vacuum.
       Will the devil-may-care message by Indicted Idiot Governor Rick "Payback" Perry helpfully communicated to criminal defendants throughout the state and nation carry over through his trial for a crime carrying a 99-year sentence with that "image of success" grin in the face of the judicial process with nary a care but when his next vacation will be?  Such generally is understood not to be the most advisable image to convey to a Court especially if one cannot cut off all its funding should it appear that things are headed in the wrong direction. Such circumstances may require a change in strategy in attempts to manipulate the court of public opinion which ultimately should not be the one holding the gavel.

New Zealand Joins U.S. "War On Drugs" Annals Longest Costliest Enforcement Failure In U.S. History: Recognizing National Party! President Peeta Goodfella "Drug Warrior" Over Two Years Since Mexican Interior Minister Blake Mora Killed In "Bad Weather" Helicopter Crash

     Thursday, 22 January 2014 - Here comes another one from the prison vaults lest we forget that New Zealand's National Party! President Pete Goodfella himself some time back curiously (given the Goodfella mob's legendary frugal propensities admitted in a PR piece a few years back by family godfather Doug "the thug" Goodfella confessing the family lived in squalor because it "did not believe in interior decorators") hired his own Target Investigations to submit a "friend of the Serious Fraud office" affidavit that Mr. Goodfella had passed hundreds of thousands of dollars cash (give or take a few) to National Party! business associate and alleged narcotics trafflcker Michael Louzsis (once Goodfella realized the entire cash transaction had been extensively photographed of Goodfella raking over his "investment" cash). Now Mr. Louzsis is back again "running the operation" from a New Zealand prison presumably issuing commands to Goodfella pending Goodfella getting Louzsis out at the first parole hearing possible.

     Unlike Mexican Interior Minister Blake Mora before he fell or was pushed from a "crashing helicopter", Mr. Goodfella is not known ever to have suffered a serious helicopter crash even while on frequent family trips to the Cayman Islands (although Goodfella is rumored to enjoy frequenting the company of New Zealand Police helicopter officers harassing hard-working New Zealanders with heat-seeking "qausi"-legal low flyovers of their better-decorated homes generally while occupied only by their wives and young children).  Mr. Goodfella himself a self-described "real strong family man" and botax enthusiast currently dating a woman who has admitted she has trouble distinguishing "fantasy from reality" (DSM # anyone?) of course staunchly at the helm the traditionally "Family Values" National Party! has himself been the subject of domestic violence police emergency calls although police urging the swearing out of police reports against him for National Party! style family violence apparently were not heeded because of concerns it might trigger an irreversible psychotic reaction given his unacknowledged narcissistic borderline personality disorder because, in the unforgettable words of Tom Lehrer, "He loved his mother. When he found out what he done he tore his eyes out one by one. A tragic end for a loyal son who loved his mother." (Copyright Tom Lehrer).
     In the preceding years there of course have been thousands of Mexican officials' violent deaths since the last Mexican Interior Minister was killed with large swaths of the country left completely unpopulated by fleeing Mexican citizens in the path of warring Mexican drug cartels exacerbated by the joining of their former "Zeta" bodyguards directly into fighting on their own behalfs in the highly lucrative but risky profession. Back in Auckland neighboring the country largely populated by descendants (Australia) of convicts to which many dangerous English felons were deported, Goodfella is not known to have had any significant connections to the the country prior to his back-seat cash dealings with Louzsis (other than of course his mother rumored the "brains" of the Goodfella mob hailing from the peaceful island of Tasman).
     The Ninth Amendment Log often posts officials' own acknowledgments that the phony "war on drugs" began as a cynical political ploy by "Tricky Dick" Nixon with no care of ever "winning", has been a complete and dangerous failure for over forty years with the overall domestic United States and macro global consequences deteriorating exactly as thoughtful consideration such as in a 1988 "Economist" cover story supporting decriminalization predicted. It was perhaps satisfying to some to go to "war" when there was no one fighting on the other side.
     Now the United States gladly aided by some of the most ruthless people in the world including the CIA's and other U.S. National Security and law enforcement's own drug dealers have steadily created a global enemy in a very real war of scary possibilities, empowering formerly non-existent criminal syndicates and organizations now with enormous near-limitless money and resources to devote not only to domestic, international, and global trafficking and real-world overpowering influence on how countries are governed and huge populations are involved and/or totally uninvolved but will spend (and most likely end) their lives for the waronnothing. So welcome aboard New Zealand we are confident there is at least one patiently waiting "business partner" of National Party! Goodfella waiting for that early release so he can pay Goodfella back.

     Sunday, 25 August 2013, YOSEMITE NATIONAL PARK - First and foremost our hearts go out to all living beings threatened by the Yosemite National Park blaze including any and all scattered landowners grandfathered or otherwise in the vicinity of the historic park first named as a "National Monument" by President Theodore Roosevelt. The fire has been deemed enough of a threat to the water supply of San Francisco stored in Hetch Hetchy Reservoir that California Governor Jerry Brown had at last reports available to the Ninth Amendment log called a state of emergency.
     Hetch Hetchy Dam was constructed in the early years of the 20th Century over the lifelong protestations of naturalist and foremost friend of the Earth John Muir who as chronicled in an outstanding PBS (yes another bane of the "Modern" Republican Party) television documentary recounting the historic visit of Theodore Roosevelt (himself a Republican) to Yosemite Valley at which visit he eschewed his planned state dinner at the Ahwautaukee Lodge and instead spent the night speaking with and sleeping in sleeping bags beneath the great rock walls of Yosemite Valley beside the great naturalist John Muir.
     This story is here revisited from an earlier post a couple years back on this log which recounts the great coup of President Theodore Roosevelt which followed. Apparently completely in awe of the natural wonder to which he awoke President Roosevelt experienced a cathartic moment in which the realization overtook him that the transcendent natural beauty of the land of the country, his and John Muir's country that he saw stretching in all directions was not something to be conceptualized as some transitory possession as might be consistent with the prevalent robber baron views of the time.
     What stood before the two men was the representation of a sacred trust they held not just to a few or perhaps even the citizens of a single country, but rather an enduring timeless part of the Earth to which they held a sacred duty to preserve for all peoplekind. In any case the "coup" which unfolded in the furious following months was unparalleled in history. The emboldened and inspired President Theodore Roosevelt returned aglow to Washington, D.C. and in a some might call sleight of hand that bordered on the magical or mystical convinced the United States Congress to bestow upon the President alone the power under the enacted "National Antiquities Act" to with maps of the United States in hand with the stroke of a pencil (we believe he however used a pen) "suggested" a remarkable collection of "National Monuments" to forever be preserved and saved from the petty and transitory destruction of commercial pillage.
     Before the United States Congress knew what had hit it President Theodore Roosevelt had used the presumably modest powers of the Act to mark off reasonably restrained preserves around the country the President instead with the guidance of John Muir and others had with great strokes of his pen forever (one hoped) marked off wide swaths of land in places near and far and encompassing the most spectacular lands of the Country for designation as National Monuments which later were to become the very heart of this Nation's National Park System.
     Alas John Muir did NOT succeed in his one greatest quest to save Hetch Hetchy from being dammed and the valley which the naturalist described unbelievably as being even MORE breathtaking, spectacular, and beautiful than its parallel Yosemite Valley was indeed dammed to satisfy the commercial interests of the burgeoning city of San Francisco. John Muir is said never to have recovered from this most terrible blow and to have then carried for the relatively few more years that he survived to his grave. To this day people still speak of undoing the damage and removing the damn.     
     The agricultural and other interests say impossible. Curiously to this day San Francisco is said to waste far more precious pristine Sierra Mountain water each morning just watering Golden Gate Park with virgin water than ALL such water (carefully reclaimed) used by its supposedly rapacious neighbor to the south, Los Angeles, the City of the Angels.  
     Well darn the Ninth Amendment editorial board has really wandered afar this time. To those readers who have held on the past couple of days and nights we have been in the midst of a GRAND EXPERIMENT. Rather than merely an onslaught of algorithms, keywords, megatrends, search optimizations and so on of which we know, well, very little at this point the Ninth Amendment Log instead has attempted to attract a growing readership (somewhat disturbed shall we say by untoward events of  recent weeks past) amongst its worldwide audience by presenting merely a bit of hopefully decent and interesting writing.
     Surprise! The scheme in the past days would appear actually to have worked as amidst some of our usual digressions we have stuck more or less faithfully to the interesting and even to some intriguing secrets of the profession of Private Investigator. With neither compensation nor remuneration of any kind we have shared as "fair comment" portions of "The Private Investigator's Handbook" by Chuck Chambers, P.I. So after all this it only seems fair that we continue on here for those still with us with a few tidbits from Chapter Eight, "How To Shake A Tail". Particularly as Mr. Chambers seems to have specifically connected these bits to his concern for the safety of women. To wit (per Mr. Chambers):
   
     o   Number of reported stalking cases in the United States each year:  1,006,970

     o    Number of women battered yearly:  6,000,000

     o    Percentage of murdered women each year killed by a current or former spouse:  52

     o    Percentage of clients who come to me because they want to avoid being followed:   3

     Readers of the Ninth Amendment first are referred to previous posts of the past couple days which by inference clearly suggest certain ways to shake a vehicular tail.

     -     The first Make a U-Turn readers may remember is to head for the nearest four-lane highway and make a u-turn there. "After a short distance, maneuver to the left lane and look for the first available break in the median strip where you can safely do a u-turn. Naturally you're looking for any vehicle that makes the same u-turn behind you". As Mr. Chambers says the other car faces a dilemma, and either you've made the tail and/or discouraged them for today.

     -     The second readers will remember is to Head for a Dead-End, one of the "best methods" according to Mr. Chambers unless of course one thinks "there is any element of danger involved". Once the tail follows you into the dead-end street, go into the last residence and pull into the driveway. You now have the tail in a bottleneck and can put your car in reverse and head back out the street. "At this point, you're in a position where you can either confront the person or you can fall in behind him or her and take their tag number. The predator has to pass within a few feet."
            "Your tail knows the jig is up, and with the tag number you can identify who the driver is. If the tag comes back a licensed PI" call your lawyer.

     -     Technique three is Residential Turns which requires paying attention. "If you make three consecutive turns in a residential area and the same car is still behind you, the chances are you're under surveillance. Make a u-turn to shake the tail."

     -     Techniques four, five and six we will simply name and leave to our readers to pursue should they wish. They are: Left Turns, For Sale Sign (Get Ahead Out of Sight Pull Into For Sale Driveway Lie Across Front Seat And Let Tail Pass Which Will Make Most PIs Give Up After About Ten Minutes, next is The Yellow Light which we will bet our readers can figure out if they can gauge their speed then leave the tail at a red, next is Look For A Second Tail, and Finally Is Collect Evidence Of A Tail When Safe To Do So.

     Finally finally from your editorial board at the Ninth Amendment the recently repeated reminder has of late unfortunately become important again -- young women DO NOT STOP for apparent police marked or unmarked lights or no lights up top on dash whatever in ANY kind of an isolated area. Proceed to a nearby police station if you know where one is otherwise calmly continue until you are in a VERY WELL LIT AND VERY OCCUPIED PLACE. When in doubt ALWAYS USE YOUR CELL PHONE FOR 9-1-1 IN OR OUT OF YOUR SERVICE AREA, YOU WILL BE CONNECTED AND NOT HAVE TO PAY.
    
     Remember keep your car moving until you are sure as sure can be you are safe, and never, ever, let anyone get you off of the street into a vehicle. Tear out their eyes and scream bloody murder. Did we say that? Well we must have meant it.

     Now let us continuing growing the audience readership, what do our readers say? Sorry but at this point we will just keep those extra keywords in the title until next times, when there are always more topics to turn to, always more stories to tell, always more things to learn. Texas "Superstupid" U.S. Senator Ted Cruz Leading Force Of "Tea Party Revolt" Modeled On Disgraced Senator Joseph "Morphine-A-Go-Go" McCarthy

       Thursday, 1 August 2013, HAVANA - Readers your attention and patience please for the evolving prediction of the editorial board of the Ninth Amendment log that this current American century-span, roughly defined as commencing with the storming by the Allied Forces led from the West by the United States military racing into literal collision at Hitler's besieged Berlin Fuhrerbunker with the crush of Stalinist Russian masses from the East, soon eclipsed by the so-called "atomic" bombings of Nagasaki and within days Hiroshima, through the paroxysms of "McCarthyism" here at home from the Atlantic seaboard clear to sunny Hollywood on the Pacific Coast, the overseas global Cold War now known indeed to have brought our planet Earth to the very brink of extinction from a conflagration with the Communists off the shores of Cuba, and all that has since followed right up to the present with the United States heir apparent Superpower now its greatest towers smashed but feverishly rebuilt yet inexorably losing its grip on that mantle (F-35 "weapons system" or not we are afraid) to the undeniable gravitational force of the burgeoning population black hole of the Far East as the mid-East writhes in the seasons of its discontent, only that we now should suffer for some surely unfathomable reason the murmurings of another but this time self-inflicted, what?..... "Tea Party"!
       No mortal knows where this dizzying span will have led us in another quarter-century but the Ninth Amendment here predicts the historians of future eras certainly for no short time will puzzle, ponder, wonder, and no doubt make it their vocation to examine exactly what, went . . . .
       Something in the spy-filled air of late gripping our great Nation not altogether surprisingly compelled our editorial staff this evening past to revisit in a noticeably unpolished Wikepedia piece on the late (we rather took for granted) disgraced Wisconsin United States Senator Joseph McCarthy in some wonderment the similarities to which our country seemed to have so soon again allowed itself to succumb to inchoate fears and have kept our eye so obediently on the ball therefore as to more or less unwittingly let mechanism of the witch-hunt gear up, again. The human tragedies of that 1950's era need not be revisited here, the slim reeds upon which they by most accounts all too often rested, and what we took to be the generally accepted conclusion that when the heat of the moment (and the Senator increasingly undeniably . . . .unwell as in ill) and resultant dust died down indeed a few traitors most likely had been exposed, punished, paid the price for treason. But what of the other sometimes estimated ninety-five per cent or so who most likely just had the misfortune to be named because, well, they had a name, and one seemed needed for the moment, their talents, their livelihood, their family, their life.... be damned?
       Somehow the story when it unraveled really did seem to have become stranger than fiction to use that worn cliche. Senator McCarthy apparent champion of all American and not aberrant quite undeniably himself turning out to be, well, a heroin addict? Maybe not, but no one seemed to do much more than turn away in disgust as it really was beyond denying that he was at least a screaming alcoholic, even in his heydey, with at least a serious morphine addiction perhaps to relieve the effects of the alcohol. Somehow when the time came most apparently was more or less overlooked, or at least very downplayed.
       Downplayed n fact by the very one who first quite publicly revealed it in his early 1960's memoir, that is except for leaving out the Senator's name (as if too many personalities of that era fit the bill). But at this point the historians are all sure to find it rather just getting a little too odd to ignore. The person who of course revealed the Senator's addiction was none other than the Nation's universally acknowledged and still longest tenured drug czar in United States history. Commissioner Harry J. Anslinger of the Federal Bureau of Narcotics (successor to the Prohibition era bureau) for an unprecedented and needless to say never repeated period of thirty-two years spanning from 1930 to 1962.
        And then the story becomes really strange. Commissioner Anslinger in fact it turns out had a while before become aware of Senator McCarthy's habits as he had acknowledged, and in the end agreed to make arrangements with a local Washington, D.C. pharmacist that the Senator would receive a steady supply of morphine. Apparently in the end the Commissioner was convinced by Senator McCarthy that should the truth come out it would mean the "end of the Free World" or roughly those words. It was thought better meanwhile to concentrate on blaming the opiate menace on the Communist nations abroad. Remarkably when this information more or less came to light including with the Commissioner's publication of his memoirs, no one really seemed to care that much at all about the matter, McCarthy having sometime ago fallen from grace. Or so it seemed. Meanwhile despite his apparent knowledge of this situation President John F. Kennedy actually appointed the Commissioner's to a further term even in light of the knowledge that he had been allegedly condoning the supply of drugs to McCarthy.
       And there readers we find ourselves more or less come up to the present day. Apparently Senator Joseph McCarthy has had a resurgence as a voice of today's Tea Party movement. The heroin rumor reportedly was never that well disseminated. Apparently if the Senator's heavy drinking at night necessitated the assistance of some other opiate to get through the hearings of the following day, that might even be understood for the sake of the country. Or so went the reasoning. After all it was for a good cause, or so the thinking of some has gone so far as to justify the casualties to others and to the Senator himself along the way.
     Finally as if to come perhaps full circle or full something in any case today there is in the growing movement of Senator McCarthy's resurgence a body of support amongst the Tea Party movement. And somehow, the  new junior Senator from Texas Ted Cruz has come to be associated with it.  The editorial board of the Ninth Amendment wishes to emphasize that there is no connection whatsoever suggested between the personal habits of Senators McCarthy and Cruz, however readers who care to delve into the subject of oddities in the remarkable life of Senator Cruz we believe will be most surprised at coincidences that seem again beyond imagining.
       Senator Ted Cruz is no Rick Perry. He is not brain dead still standing. Professor Allen Dershowitz reportedly has acknowledged that he is absolutely brilliant, no holds barred. He has held positions and for tenures that have been unheard of before for a person of his young age. He graduated Princeton University nearly a decade after some of the editorial staff of this log. Yet oddly his father fought with Castro for the Cuban Revolution, although he apparently had said he "did not know Castro was a Communist". Perhaps most oddly for us, Senator Cruz actually is a scholar of the last two of the Bill of Rights, believing in the same tenets as the editors of this log do as to the simple but compelling logic that the Ninth Amendment (and the Tenth as well) were not written as mere verbiage. The Founding Fathers did not write words in the Constitution for the sake of ornament.
       Please do not be complacent readers, however, there is no doubt that this Senator Ted Cruz is a force to be reckoned with. He has worked with Ed Meese. He has worked with others and for other causes about which many readers will have strong feelings, no doubt. Senator Cruz also clerked for Chief Justice Rehnquist of the United States Supreme Court. As Solicitor General of Texas he successfully argued to keep many, many prisoners on death row whom a World Court already had decided should be taken off of it because of human rights violations in their trial proceedings. Senator Ted Cruz is someone interested parties would be most well advised to watch and work to follow their beliefs in influencing Texas politics. Texans cries out for justice..
       Stranger stories there have been. And we have shared a few oddities here. But the world works in mysterious ways, and that is why we introduced this piece with the observation that the hundred year span we will be ending mid-century can well be expected to hold  a great many mysteries for the historians to try to unravel. A final conundrum we leave readers with here is this. Mr. Cruz was born in Canada. However his mother was a United States Citizen. Apparently on that basis the "consensus" analysis is that Mr. Cruz COULD serve as United States President because his mother's status qualifies him as a "natural born citizen". We have not researched this, but we do not follow. To the editorial board of the Ninth Amendment the words of the Constitution sound unambiguous. We always took it for granted that they meant the United States President actually had to be born on U.S. soil. We just do not want any more coup d'etats around here. The election 2000 debacle proved the enduring wisdom of the Founding Fathers.

Draft Krugman Pressure Grows As Krugman Threatens To Join Japan Government

     Tuesday, 22 January 2013, NEW YORK, NEW YORK - Nobel Prize winning best-selling iconoclast (destroyer of images) revolutionary author, Princeton University economics professor, New York Times columnist on the economics of inequality (without according to sources taking any pay), known as a most reserved and intensely private man in his copious free time when not also frequently participating in and attending cultural events and reportedly reading as much as MIT linguistics professor Noam Chomsky (as many as eight world newspapers before breakfast).
     Happy New Year, Professor Krugman. Yes, we have had at the Ninth Amendment with a couple exceptions a woefully inadequate start to the year with a dearth of fresh posts amidst a virtual flood of unexpectedly noteworthy news with its usual either virtually complete omission or dangerously misinterpreted overlooked potential long-term significance by the mainstream press portending amongst other things a slew of Bush-syle "Mission Accomplished" proclamations by the Government which at the very moment those words are struck is busy laying the groundwork for the next conflict. In most cases the Government patiently has been waiting for the soldiers to assemble for initial deployment or re-deployment as the case may be, and the next generation of weapons has carefully been prepared to once again see America's soldiers serendipitously prepared for just the demands of the latest strategic and global developments in some formerly barely known corner of the world.
     With all due respect, sir, we unanimously advise you not go to Japan right now to visit the Emperor. The editorial board of the Ninth Amendment log at www.waronnothing.blogspot.com unanimously so votes (with one procedural abstention due to a temporary ugly misunderstanding with Mali customs officials) that it would not be in the best interest of you nor your 2016 Presidential campaign for you to become yet more irradiated than Western physicians already have made all of us. It also is hard to see how even you would have the time considering your many other serious commitments. Your domestic electoral base grows exponentially as your strength, persistence, intellect, wisdom, experience, complete independence of rigorously informed thought, and absolute willingness to act accordingly, make themselves abundantly clear.      
     You further are understood to be a man of your word unlike our current President Obama who sadly demonstrates his failure to comprehend that a person in the end has nothing more than their word. Thus suggesting (dare we say) that the Founding Fathers might have considered upping in the Constitution the minimum age for one to serve as President. In any case our unsolicited suggestion is that you avoid travel to Japan for the moment and leave that to Texas Governor Perry and his wife to drum up Japanese tourism business for Texas. By the way we recognize the sheer brilliance of the coin minting proposal and humbly suggest failing that the issuance of a stamp.
