This as opposed to GOP corrupt fatcats who get busloads of hungry desperate disoriented homeless and confused elderly from nursing homes picked up to stuff ballot boxes voting against themselves for the GOP or they do not get their sandwich and carton of milk plus cookie. Meanwhile the worst of the cheating non-taxpaying rich Republicans cheat untold millions from the State griping about their paying (not really) the "freeloading welfare class" well below subsistence levels as they sit in big empty houses doing no real work that does nothing but pay them boatloads not to show up at any job who can "go play golf" all day or just lounge in their huge empty mansions in their silk pajamas making insider sweetheart insider deals.
With their enterprise energy consumed with new ways to prevent legitimate voters from voting yesterday they had their heads handed to them with their despicable anti-voter GOP laws struck down as unconstitutional with twin blows yesterday by a Texas federal district court as well as the United States Supreme Court finding the GOP created voter ID laws blatantly discriminatory against people with real taxpaying jobs, minorities, the poor, the hurting and anyone else these worst of the greediest Republicans with their ill-gotten gains fear will get to the polls and actually let democracy work by booting their greedy asses out of power and the world of corruption to which it gives them access how easy having regulated dirty businesses hand one briefcases of cash in the lobby having no interest whatsoever in any real public service to every American or of doing anything useful for the United States and its future generations.
The United States Supreme Court Thursday evening struck down a Wisconsin voter ID law as unconstitutional. Meanwhile after a two-week trial in Corpus Christi, Texas the federal court's ruling by Judge Nelva Gonzales Ramos in a decision directly opposite to what that group of sneaky Republicans had sweated would keep their latest attempt to keep those states' overwhelming number of voters whose interests they do not represent out of the polls and keep their corrupt and criminal owned Republican stooges in their seeming permanent scandalous State crony positions demanding bribes from everyone they encounter while paying them back with taxpayer paybacks while demanding more taxes paid unfairly by the poor and making more cuts go to the few bare-bones rags rags being thrown in Texas by these career corrupt Republican old boys to the needy instead were shocked out of their silk sock, pajamas and underwear to hear the federal court ruling actually stating the truth that the state's voter ID law (just as these true enemies of the People incidentally planned) "creates an unconstitutional burden on the right to vote, has an impermissible discriminatory effect against Hispanics and African-Americans, and was imposed with an unconstitutional discriminatory purpose."

"Dark Money" Greg "Payday" Abbott who as last reported here enforces zero Texas anti-corruption laws relating to big dirty business, unregulated homeowner gouging insurance companies and his pet payday and title store and other major corrupt backroom "donors" not to mention enforcing no law against his co-conspirator indicted Texas Idiot Governor Rick "Payback" Perry nor any other GOP dark money Perry and Abbot donors such as principal Abbott "dark money" leading corrupt criminal bank major Abbott donor Bank of America who Abbott blatantly illegally failed in his A.G legal. duty to recover from B of A illegally kept millions of the $222 million Texas taxpayer dollars that the now Abbot-connected Perry TEF Texas Taxpayer Enterprise Slushfund illegally "granted" to B of A while meeting none of the State requirements for receiving the money conveniently overlooked and records Abbott refused released then forgot he had "misplaced". Abbott and Perry "abuse of power" poster boys could be put in the dictionary to define corruption.
Blindfolded overseer AG Abbot then in turn received back $1.4 million of Texas taxpayers' illegally gotten proceeds from leading worldwide criminal Bank of American every consumer's worst friend in thanks to Abbott for his well-practiced fine lack of oversight work and trusting his conveniently forever "turned eye" would continue with him as Governor by B of A giving Abbott back in return Texas taxpayer illegally obtained funds in the form of corrupt Abbot's favorite bribe alternative namely "campaign donating" in their ongoing game of playing "taxpayer musical money."
After Thursday's federal court ruling that Texas voters need not spend their very limited free time running around in a monkey chase to make sure to have their Republican concocted voter IDs to keep the unconstitutionally "unwelcome" who happen to make up a majority of the state from voting while the rich just flash their million mile platinum credit cards and their Mercedes coupe registrations to vote the longtime career big-business tool corrupt "dark money" owned Abbot had his A.G. spokeswoman (no doubt seriously underpaid by Abbott who has zero to say why he pays his men staffers significantly more than women staffers doing the same work especially his mother-in-law whom no doubt he really shortchanges for the TV ads) say that Abbott suddenly would bring his office back to life in one of liar Abbott's biggest whoppers yet.
Corrupt Woman-Hater AG "Dark Money" Greg "Payday" Abbott must be getting awfully fatigued of firing off so much bull he does not believe for a minute that the best so totally unconvincing line that it stood as slap in the face to all good Texans who instead admire a true honest man that Abbott probably unable to say it with a straight or unflinching face actually had to have his underpaid spokeswoman say for him namely that the his office would finally come back to life not to enforce Texas' anti-corruption safeguards or even collect more Abbott "campaign donation" bribes but to immediately appeal the federal court's ruling that the state's voter ID law was unconstitutional because Abbott perjured himself to the world and without any thought disrespected the Court which anyway was Latino by claiming the unconstitutional scrapped voter ID law was necessary to "avoid voter confusion in the upcoming election" which of course is exactly what all that the lying corrupt A.G Abbott actually is betting on for him and his desperate cronies to win. The Ninth Amendment would suppose that most voters are not confused as to who they are even without some GOP ginned up voter ID law making them run in circles to find out what their names are.
It appears that once again the hard-earned much needed taxpayer dollars from good true hard working Texans will once again be wasted away by indicted Perry's now fully exposed conspirator corrupt Woman-Hater A.G. "Dark Money" Greg "Payday" Abbott in both crooks' true form by using Texas taxpayers' taxes directly against taxpayers' best interests. Texas Congressional Members Ask U.S Attorney General Holder To Open Federal Criminal Investigation Of Corrupt Woman-Hating AG "Dark Money" Greg "Payday" Abbott Following "Scathing" State Audit Finding $222 Million In Texas Taxpayer Perry Pet "Enterprise Fund" Money Given To Non-Applicant Non-Job Creators With Abbott "Undersight" GIving $1.4 Million Bribes Back To Abbott Who Now Blames And Distances Himself From Perry Slushfund
Tuesday, 7 October 2014, WASHINGTON, D.C. - The Ninth Amendment editorial board has observed that in the wake of last week's request that U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder launch a federal criminal investigation into whether it was illegal and/or unethical for corrupt Woman-Hating Texas "Dark Money" A.G. Greg "Payday" Abbott to sit by with blindfolds on as the Perry pet "Texas Enterprise Fund" or more appropriately "Perry Payback Taxpayer Slushfund" Abbott oversaw doled out "disbursements" of at least $222 million of Texas taxpayer money without requiring any requests nor applications and/or disbursed it to recipients who "were not required to create new jobs" according to a "scathing" Texas state audit that found these were not "mandated" requirements during the first two years of Perry unilaterally announcing such grants with no prior disclosure claiming they were from his "new deal-making" fund.
Well that much claimed by since indicted lameduck corrupt Republican Idiot Texas Governor Rick "Payback" Perry certainly does seem to be true as he did use the taxpayers money apparently to fund "deal-making" by doling out hundreds of millions of dollars of taxpayer money which Abbott was supposed to but did not oversee so as to recover improperly disbursed funds to "politically connected" companies as to which Abbott later refused to provide any documentation to the Dallas Morning News which he in fact neglected to mention also did not exist. The News was able to report that it had obtained documentation of $1.4 million in bribes in the now familiar form of Abbott "campaign donations" effectively giving Texas taxpayers' money back to Abbott which similar practice of essentially bribe-taking was reported here with named major law firms as well as countless others with contemporaneous pending decisions before long-corrupt A.G. Abbott while also making regular large "campaign donations" to him for essentially non-existent campaigns.
Apparently following one from the Perry playbook exemplified by his fine example to all criminal defendants of smirking in mugshots according to Republican special prosecutor Michael McCrum and immediately leaving the country upon his federal grand jury indictments for two counts of "abuse of power" playing down the prospect of the 99-year prison term he now is facing Abbott's spokesperson Jerry Strickland apparently came out swinging on himself on responding to Attorney General Holder's requested federal criminal investigation of Abbott making what the San Antonio Express-News in the linked-to article below called "his strongest yet defense of both the office and his boss" immediately evading the issue telling lies about Abbott's release of documents and accusing the Democratic Congressional delegation of having "a poor understanding of the law".
It is not known to the editorial board of the Ninth Amendment how qualified Abbott's spokesman Strickland himself is in the law such as having attended law school or his degree of legal scholarship such that he is comfortable accusing Texas' Congressional national lawmakers of "having a poor understanding of the law". It is not known for example if Mr. Strickland reviewed his boss Abbott's earlier statement regarding the law in which Abbott observed that in the Attorney General's office certain matters were not within Abbott's purview because they involved no more than "making legal determinations".
Both in the case of Perry and Abbott the Ninth Amendment has observed most matters that would be of some heightened concerns to persons in such similar positions as having been indicted for two felony counts by a federal grand jury and now facing a trial which just on these counts could result in a 99-year prison term or as in the case of Abbott having a group of members of one's states Congressional delegation requesting of the United States Attorney General that he have the Department of Justice launch a federal criminal and ethics investigation of him for a matter related to the indicted Perry's that on the part of both Republican high office holders such a cavalier attitude may actually be a subterfuge for some greater degree of concern than they are prepared to share at this time although it has been noted that the particularly carefree Perry did greatly buttress his so far Texas taxpayer funded legal defense team with some more $400 an hour lawyers which he even took the extraordinary step of diverting from his own campaign fund rather than his usual course of taking it directly from Texas taxpayer's pockets.
In addition the brave Abbott spokesperson Strickland taking Texas' Congressional nation's lawmakers to task for "having a poor understanding of the law" Abbott's campaign dream team went on to try to discourage voters from even turning out to the polls in classic Republican style by noting that Abbott has over $30 million remaining in his "warchest" ($10 million of which was used to reserve TV time well in advance no doubt for voters to spend more quality in depth time getting to know if Abbott actually has any specific plan to accomplish anything or just to attack Wendy Davis some more) as opposed to Wendy Davis' $5.9 million going into the final month which Abbott's team described as her campaign now"being broke".
They failed to note that since Wendy Davis announced her candidacy she has collected at least as much as Abbott in campaign contributions although his may have been "matched" by more outside donors, doubtless the usual out-of-state suspects and dirty businesses and fugitive payday loan crowd looking for refuge with Abbott running from Utah state and federal investigations. The difference in remaining campaign funds comes from the fact that Abbott has as readers may have guessed spent the past ten years collecting $30 million in bribes in the form of "campaign donations" from entities with matters before corrupt A.G. Abbott despite the fact that Abbott effectively was running for nothing seriously contested and therefore could save up that much for his campaign "warchest" now with who knows how much in leftover bribes perhaps to buy a nice place up in Horseshoe Bay like genius real estate investor Perry.
As for corrupt woman-hating A.G. "dark money" Greg "payday" Abbott it similarly may be worth noting that he is now starting to take a noticeably wider berth from Perry as the two apparently start breaking ranks with Abbott now specifically "blaming" Perry for not informing him of grants Perry was announcing for his "Perry Enterprise Taxpayer Slushfund" in contravention of the law that it be done no later than at the "finalization" of such grants although Abbott now claims Perry knew they had been finalized over a year before and never informed Abbott. Likewise as Abbott scrambled in recent debates from Wendy Davis honing in on the growing scandal Abbott courageously responded that he "had questioned [Perry's] fund since the beginning of his campaign"

It would seem like Perry the phony preacher who one recent year gave church donations of less than $100 when he earned over $1 million in corrupt sweetheart deals and "Perry Paybacks" that the true Abbott himself also now desperate beyond measure is emerging from his squeaky clean holier-than-thou put on hoisted on the good true hard-working people of Texas as the in reality corrupt reverend as once eerily portrayed by Robert Mitchum's inspired phony "preacher man" role like the true laid bare Abbott exposed as a murderous friend of the devil in that classic 1955 film "The Night Of The Hunter".
Those in Texas anywhere near a television cannot help but have noticed that as soon as the Abbott the good "General" of nothing masquerading as sweet guy who in his more "yes crony" encouraged delusional times swore off "negative ads" felt it expedient he jettisoned the "my mother-in-law loves me but she could be lying too" ads in favor of his best attempts at vicious woman hating negative "attack" ads and now intentionally confusing misleading internet lies directed at Texas State Senator Wendy Davis seeking to accuse her of what if anyone it is he corrupt Abbott himself "the man without a plan" who is guilty.
However he has failed to gain traction to climb back out from the fast growing momentum of his downward slide unsurprisingly finding nothing of substance on which truthfully to attack Davis but who doubtless is desperate finally having gotten that real bad feeling shared by all his opportunist "friends" and "donors" either poised to or jumping from his sinking ship of "Hoes" that Wendy Davis is ready, willing, able and fully game to grab the reins from the badly slumping old boys of the great Lone Star State to be the next Texas Governor for all the people while sad Perry protege Abbott will be doing his best to get as far as possible now from being sucked into the death spiral of his policy mentor indicted lameduck Texas Idiot Governor Rick "Payback" Perry being inexorably sucked into that most unhappy federal version of the place where Abbott mercilessly has tried to and sent so many with Perry cheering him on including the mentally incompetent to die in the State's hands for reasons they like small children do not even have the ability to understand.
Meanwhile "dark money" Abbott doing his best to let everyone off who knows exactly what evil they commit from dirty big business, payday, title and even bank (often the biggest criminals of them all) "short-term" loan userers, polluters who write their own pollution "permits", chemical companies allowed to stockpile hazardous chemicals in hidden undisclosed locations throughout Texas for the likes of exploring schoolchildren, wanderers and unwarned first responder emergency personnel to stumble upon, Abbott's generous "insurer" friends who already are so filthy rich they own so many skyscrapers in every big city they dare not put their names on them and they sure are no friends of Texas homeowners' relentlessly raising their already skyrocketing premiums without justification unconscionably unchecked by any prior state review in what most everywhere would be criminal uncalled for rate increases right up there with the banks forcefully squeezing good, honest, hard-working people and families from their own homes to the streets, to the unrecorded mystery recipients of taxpayers' millions they never requested with sitting "top Texas law enforcement official" not-for-long Attorney General "dark money" Abbott conveniently overlooking the criminal total lack of required applications and "lost" records conspiring with indicted Perry in Perry's pet phony payback "Texas Enterprise Fund" (or was that the "Perry Payback Enterprise Taxpayer Slushfund").
Not to mention what no Texas woman or her loved ones should ever forget come voting day which is Texas Woman-Hater Abbott's lonely defense on the Texas Supreme Court even too distasteful for his Republican colleagues of the likes of Kirby Vacuum knowing that employer of a known rapist Kirby Vacuum sent without warning showing wanton and depraved indifference for the sanctity of a human life into the home of the Texas woman trusting waiting alone for her demonical Kirby-employed attacker like a helpless human target set up totally unwarned to be raped and slaughtered helpless alone in her house leaving her family to return home to the Kirby Vacuum sponsored nightmare horror show like something out of "A Clockwork Orange" that never ever should have occurred none of her family, loved ones and friends ever to see her alive again. What kind of a sick company even wants to defend itself and make the family survivors then have to go on after than and fight an ugly battle over that kind of despicable behavior in the public light of courts of law just in the hope of saving a few bucks making a losing bet all the way up that there will be and thank God there were not few more twisted creeps like Abbott on the Texas Supreme Court. Now it is Texans and all Texas women's turn to make damn sure there is no one like Abbott to disgrace Texas' highest elected office.
Specifically the Ninth Amendment could not help but alert readers to the fact that in this last month the true twisted Abbott may prove himself capable of any dark deception misinformation disinformation flat-out lies as he grasps for the quickly receding Governor's position when sure enough Ninth Amendment staff came upon Abbott's internet manipulated top "trending" Wendy Davis supposedly on the basis of the apparently newly emerged but possibly non-existent "defeatdavis" currently blank website which doubtless paid for its top "sponsored" Google position with Abbott's hard strong-armed cash boasting a totally untruthful headline implying that Wendy Davis rather than the corrupt woman-hating Abbott had a "debate disaster" also claiming that Wendy Davis had "melted down" in this past week's final Texas Governor's debate and "shouted down the moderator" when anything could be farther from the truth. If Wendy Davis were to melt down (which she did not) from anything it would have been her proximity to the true Abbott finally revealed to all as evil friend of the devil being called back home while the hot wrath blew him back down from above.
But then again the corrupt woman-hater A.G. "Dark Money" Greg "Payday" Abbott and his ilk always have known that confusion, deception and lies are their best and indeed only friends and fueling their frantic demented dreams of "winning" anything that appears legitimate whatever the cost to those they claim publicly matter the most but secretly snicker that they and their families and children really mean to them nothing at all as they show over and over again from the moment their victims are born with continuing near worst in the nation funded healthcare, education where they will be lucky to graduate from high school and if they do with a ninth-grade education, and if they do not go to prison then have the "right to work" in jobs that do not pay a living wage, to live with their families in abject poverty should they lose them through sickness or misfortune, where they can look forward to horribly lacking social services.
All the while paying their hugely unfair share of taxes in the richest nation in the world while Texas Republican governors idiotically return billions of dollars of their citizens' federal taxes that could benefit everyone in Texas so they can be sent instead to New York, California, and every other state which will gladly have them, to leave their children to a proud state laid waste by their corrupt government officials and those who pay them off and where the water will be too foul with toxins to drink, the air unfit to breath, and all the people need to do is see it for what it is not what they say and throw off their yoke of ignorance and put the power of the people behind those who really care for and love the people of Texas whoever they may be and from wherever they may hail. And Texans thankfully can make that choice right now.

Thursday, 28 August 2014, AUSTIN, TX - Following his indictment on two felony counts that could land him 99 years in prison unlike the previously reported New York Times editorial trying to appear non-partisan on the matter given the publicly known facts of Perry shutting down funding for the State's Public Integrity Unit (which just happened to cripple its investigation of Perry's pet "cancer" charity headed by Perry's crony and had been under criminal investigation by the Public Integrity Unit after another official there last year was indicted for irregularities concerning an $11 million grant for cancer research) conservative hypocrites instead have taken the opportunity to celebrate Texas Indicted Idiot Governor Rick "Payback" Perry's "celebrity" mugshot as reason to completely brush off the charges handed down by a Texas grand jury instead attempting to divert attention to what a self-assured defendant Perry makes briefly scoffing at the felony charges in his no-doubt new taxpayer paid-for get-up of nice suit and of course new de riguer eyeglasses which suddenly appeared following his legendary 2012 Republican National Debate appearance in which after nearly a one-minute silent lapse he spoke just seconds before 911 was to be called for "brain dead still standing".
If Perry were permitted to carry his fearsome laser-sighted coyote-killing six-shooter for his mugshot due to his demonstrated prowess at defending either himself and others or his dog depending on which one of his conflicting accounts one might choose to believe (and because he is Governor) it is not apparent in his bemused mugshot. Moreover the apparently deep significance of Indicted Governor Perry's strategic "whatever" attitude in his brief public response to his indictment also implicitly demonstrated contempt not only for the grand jury but the entire criminal justice system under which it serves dismissing basically as absurd its indictment handed down.

Perry's remaining "fair weather" band of corrupt largely out-of-state dirty money supporters are expected to jump ship and it is not looking as if it will be to GOP Texas Woman-Hater A.G. Gregg "Dark Money" Payday Abbott's sinking campaign. Senator Ted Superstupid Cruz (R-Tex) announced that Perry "is a man of integrity" and that "I am proud to stand with him" (presumably even in a Texas prison cell although Cruz did not make clear where he would lay down when not standing next to Perry).

Friday, 15 August 2014, AUSTIN, TEXAS - Career corrupt Texas Idiot Governor Rick "Payback" Perry who first bribed student voters with candies while he struggled unliked through elementary school today was indicted by a Texas Grand Jury convened by a Republican Special Prosecutor on two felony counts of coercing a public servant and abuse of power for abusing his official capacity in his veto of $7.5 million in funding from the State's public watchdog the Texas Public Integrity Unit operated by the Travis County, Texas District Attorney's Office in Austin, Texas on false pretenses. Perry's abuse of power was charged by the Grand Jury as characteristically unlawful Perry "payback" for the Public Integrity Unit's investigation of irregularities in the so-called "cancer charity" The Cancer Prevention and Research Institute of Texas run by a crony of Perry's. One of the former officials there was indicted last year for his mishandling of an $11 million dollar grant meant for the benefit of cancer sufferers. The charge of abuse of official capacity against Perry carries a prison sentence of five to ninety-nine years. The charge of coercion of a public servant a two to ten year prison sentence.
Republicans defending Perry shrugged off the possible ninety-nine year Perry prison term as a "partisan witch hunt" but acknowledged that it was a "red light" for what had been beginning to appear as his preliminary moves toward a second run for the White House after the debacle of his 2012 Presidential run in which he had broken his promise to Texas voters that he would not make the run if first elected Governor at that time. Perry in any case suffered a complete meltdown in the Republican Presidential debate which left Perry "brain dead still standing" and his candidacy likewise dead in the water. Perry apparently still is showing strong signs of brain death as it was revealed that he had spent $80,000 of Texas taxpayers' money to date for his personal defense, unprecedented for a public official facing such prosecution in Texas history.
If convicted of the current charges Perry will be the second Texas Governor indicted while in office, the first in almost one hundred years facing serious criminal charges, and should this lead to his conviction and/or termination of his Governorship Perry would hold the ignominious position of being the only Texas governor since Texas Governor James "Pa" Ferguson who in 1917 was indicted in office and resigned the Texas Governorship before he could be impeached after being convicted of ten criminal charges involving his extensive wrongdoing in office involving vetoing appropriations to the University of Texas. Apparently unaware that some rather pressing matters face both the world and the Great State of Texas particularly at the Border at this time -- and thus the Ninth Amendment's delay in getting to this backwater planted phony Davis done wrong "sob story" -- the Ninth Amendment nevertheless does find it noteworthy for those not lucky enough to subscribe to the J.O.A. monopoly supported San Antonio Express-News that in reaching their approaching state election decisions voters might join Abbott take a break from more serious matters such as the migration of Central and South America to Texas, the possibility of a full-blown all-nation Mideast war, and perhaps even a Putin-sponsored resurrection of the Cold War, with planes being shot from the sky daily, such that these true Texans might be disgusted that "Payday" Abbott should choose this time to call in an obvious favor from the above-mentioned newspaper in his pocket and have it run an unpaid full banner front page headline screaming "Davis Fundraising Draws Fire" over a complete non-issue the only dying "fire" coming from the lunkheads at Abbott Central Campaign and Donations, Inc.
Well we can guess a newspaper now owed one real big Abbott-style "Payday" just like all his new widely reported upon Payday, Title and Short-Term Loan usurer pals booted out of their own states but welcomed by Abbott to grease his, uh, campaign cash chest with their "dark money" tribute. Come set up shop and business as usual here illegal now in most states but okay ripping off his fellow "Lone Star" State hard-working citizens with GOP Abbott to thank for exposing his former Texas voters to toil the rest of their best earning years in hoc not retirement saving but instead as indentured servants to Abbott's new pals the money-men at the "dark money" company stores. Neon palaces that take more sky-high interest in "fees" than most desperate people can even count nor most even ever had to lose at a casino. The kind of "loan" business for which they cut off one's hands in the Bible, in fact maybe even the "Tea Partiers" just might.
Just in case anyone cares enough to waste a thought on Abbott's latest dishonest blather now that he will be shutting down this Texas A.G. shop taking "campaign donations" from for example bond lawyers before whom he reaches bond decisions which are after all according to his office merely nothing more than "legal determinations" as are no doubt so many of the other ones he reaches for all those grateful campaign donors lined up at his Texas A.G.'s door. The San Antonio Express-News dutifully filled its front page with the banner headline "Davis Fundraising Draws Fire" no doubt drafted direct by those great arbiters of the highest ethical standards down at the Abbott campaign office and money-counting HQ.
Well yes we would have to agree that Abbott sure did step in it and if given another chance would do it all again doubtless as often as possible as it turns out this "major" complaint came from none other than Abbott spokesman Matt Hirsch who accused Wendy Davis of "running one of the least transparent campaigns in Texas history". We will bet he did not say that one under oath or he may well have ended up making new friends in a Perry-determined Texas federal "equivalent" cell considering that Wendy Davis follows like a breath of fresh air as the first major Texas candidate supported by more real small-time Texas donors than any major Texas candidate in history.
That as opposed to the long unseemly tradition of corrupt Republican politicos funded by the usual handful of suspects GOP "dark money" polluters and out-of-state big business honchos laying low paid a pittance to make Texas their own private toxic factory site and hazardous waste dump. Though they sure would not live too long here if they ever could before since Perry befouled and left the once pristince air unbreatheable and the sweet clean water undrinkable where shrimp and fish once thrived on the Texas Gulf Coast now part of that huge foul mess the Gulf of Spilled British Petroleum (BP) glued solid with Corexit left behind for our children and theirs as well. Sure jobs are nice but not nearly so much when one has the right to work but cannot breathe the air, nor drink the water and exposed a lifetime can expect to die at sixty.
The truth as we understand it actually is that $3.25M of Davis' donations came in amounts of $50 or less which means no one is trying to hide these "big-time" donors they are just so small that the record-keeping disclosure costs could outweigh the value of the donations, which is why Texas law does not require the record-keeping disclosure for such small donations. Abbott flunky Hirsch obviously has a future in GOP Texas politics, however, if there is one after coming state elections as he was clever enough to level further "fire" at Wendy Davis by asserting "By choosing to keep a majority of her contributions secret, Sen. Davis lacks the moral obligation to uphold basic standards of honesty, transparency and trust," he said. Huh? Was that English? Last time we checked that "lack of moral obligation" part in particular either means he is incapable of speaking English such that he is incapable of leveling any coherent threat in the language (although it will be published) or more likely finally he is admitting that Texas law imposes no such "moral" or legal for that matter obligation on Gubernatorial candidate Wendy Davis who therefore cannot have a "secret" like Hirsch boss Abbott harbors so many. One thing is for sure we trust that Abbott "The General" remembers the entire small handful of his "dark money" donors right down to the exact "Payday" (but with legal interest) they can expect in return.

Just in case anyone cares enough to waste a thought on Abbott's latest dishonest blather now that he will be shutting down this Texas A.G. shop taking "campaign donations" from for example bond lawyers before whom he reaches bond decisions which are after all according to his office merely nothing more than "legal determinations" as are no doubt so many of the other ones he reaches for all those grateful campaign donors lined up at his Texas A.G.'s door. The San Antonio Express-News dutifully filled its front page with the banner headline "Davis Fundraising Draws Fire" no doubt drafted direct by those great arbiters of the highest ethical standards down at the Abbott campaign office and money-counting HQ.
Well yes we would have to agree that Abbott sure did step in it and if given another chance would do it all again doubtless as often as possible as it turns out this "major" complaint came from none other than Abbott spokesman Matt Hirsch who accused Wendy Davis of "running one of the least transparent campaigns in Texas history". We will bet he did not say that one under oath or he may well have ended up making new friends in a Perry-determined Texas federal "equivalent" cell considering that Wendy Davis follows like a breath of fresh air as the first major Texas candidate supported by more real small-time Texas donors than any major Texas candidate in history.
That as opposed to the long unseemly tradition of corrupt Republican politicos funded by the usual handful of suspects GOP "dark money" polluters and out-of-state big business honchos laying low paid a pittance to make Texas their own private toxic factory site and hazardous waste dump. Though they sure would not live too long here if they ever could before since Perry befouled and left the once pristince air unbreatheable and the sweet clean water undrinkable where shrimp and fish once thrived on the Texas Gulf Coast now part of that huge foul mess the Gulf of Spilled British Petroleum (BP) glued solid with Corexit left behind for our children and theirs as well. Sure jobs are nice but not nearly so much when one has the right to work but cannot breathe the air, nor drink the water and exposed a lifetime can expect to die at sixty.
The truth as we understand it actually is that $3.25M of Davis' donations came in amounts of $50 or less which means no one is trying to hide these "big-time" donors they are just so small that the record-keeping disclosure costs could outweigh the value of the donations, which is why Texas law does not require the record-keeping disclosure for such small donations. Abbott flunky Hirsch obviously has a future in GOP Texas politics, however, if there is one after coming state elections as he was clever enough to level further "fire" at Wendy Davis by asserting "By choosing to keep a majority of her contributions secret, Sen. Davis lacks the moral obligation to uphold basic standards of honesty, transparency and trust," he said. Huh? Was that English? Last time we checked that "lack of moral obligation" part in particular either means he is incapable of speaking English such that he is incapable of leveling any coherent threat in the language (although it will be published) or more likely finally he is admitting that Texas law imposes no such "moral" or legal for that matter obligation on Gubernatorial candidate Wendy Davis who therefore cannot have a "secret" like Hirsch boss Abbott harbors so many. One thing is for sure we trust that Abbott "The General" remembers the entire small handful of his "dark money" donors right down to the exact "Payday" (but with legal interest) they can expect in return.
