Congress Slams DEA "Completely Out Of Control" As Drug Cartel Hosted Sex Parties Scandal Widens To Include DEA Regional Official Soliciting Prostitutes

Wednesday, 15 April 2015, WASHINGTON, D.C. - Congressional House Oversight Committee lawmakers at a hearing yesterday excoriated DEA Administrator Michele Leonhart disclosing greatly expanded revelations from and commencing a Congressional investigation based on a Department of Justice (DOJ) Inspector General (IG) report released last month detailing extensive DEA agent misconduct earlier reported here now said to extend back to 2001 and not only including drug cartel hosted sex parties at which agents checked their weapons with some accepting cash, expensive gifts, and weapons from drug cartel members, but also at which agents had their laptop computers and other electronic devices present and which included a newly reported but unverified account of a DEA Assistant Regional Administrator soliciting prostitutes to attend a "going away" party.
Congressional lawmakers outraged over perceived light punishment of DEA agents suspended for two to ten days over recently reported misconduct by attending drug cartel hosted sex parties in Colombia included the House Oversight Committee's chairman declaring that agents who had repeatedly engaged in serious misconduct, including jeopardizing national security, should be stripped of their national security clearances and be fired over what the chairman called "truly breathtaking restlessness". DEA Administrator Leonhart responded to House Oversight Committee members that she had neither the power to revoke agents' national security clearances nor fire them for such misconduct.
"Honestly, what power do you have?" continued another Congressional committee member who then rebuked DEA Administrator Leonhart that "[y]ou have to work with agents over whom you can't discipline and have no control. What the hell do you get to do?" Administrator Leonhart apparently did not answer. The Ninth Amendment without editorial response to the preceding nor comment on any of the content of this post refers readers interested in more information on the above hearing including more details of the DOJ IG's Report on DEA agents' and officials' lengthy list of continuing abuses to the below link.

"Feds Gone Wild" NY Times Condemns DEA And FBI For Ignoring, Covering Up, And Obstructing Investigation Of DEA Agents' Criminal Offenses Such As Cavorting At Drug Cartel Hosted Sex Parties Compromising Entire "Mission"

Saturday, 28 March 2015, NEW YORK, NY - The New York Times entire editorial board has condemned the U.S. Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) and Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) for their routine response or lack thereof to a history of DEA agents' criminal misconduct such as reported here yesterday expanding on a history of DEA agents' criminal misconduct and the virtual lack of consequences to agents for such activities not as to the duplicity of virtually ignoring such conduct effectively shielded by the U.S. Government while other U.S. citizens at home undoubtedly would suffer exponentially worse consequences for such criminal activities, but as to the obvious threat of drug agents completely undermining their claimed mission by exposing themselves to blackmail and extortion and moreover compromising the entire apparent objective of bringing to justice and successfully prosecuting those drug cartels under whose auspices they "cavort" (the Times word which a federal prosecutor certainly would not be nearly so charitable as to use in an "ordinary" U.S. citizen's domestic prosecution).
For interested readers the link to the Times article follows directly below followed by the comment submitted by the Ninth Amendment published in the Times digital edition. Alternatively or in addition to the Ninth Amendment comment readers may find below it a published comment to the same New York Times article contributed by  a Times commenter identifying themself as having served as an Assistant U.S. Attorney for 17 years.

Although the Times editorial board is to be commended for following up on these lightly covered most recently reported incidents of law enforcement DEA drug agents' criminal misconduct effectively taking bribes in the form of sex parties, weapons, expensive gifts and money directly from drug cartels while untold thousands of United States citizens' lives are ruined sitting wasting their lives in prisons for much less "drug offenses", the editorial board of the Ninth Amendment at www.waronnothing.blogspot.com urges that the much larger issue of the spectacular failures of the Nixon-fabricated cynical bogus now forty-plus year "War On Drugs" must be emphasized at every available opportunity as the ceaseless series of unintended negative consequences has steadily grown until it has become a menace not only domestically but now undeniably to global order extending to the point of becoming a most serious threat to the very national security of the United States.

The so-called war on drugs is a colossal disaster...drugs continue to flow into the United States, American prisons are filled to the brim with people convicted of non violent drug offenses, drug addiction continues to destroy whole communities and families, and American taxpayers continue to pay billions upon billions for the army of agents hired to "fight" the drug war, for the room and board of tens of thousands incarcerated for drug crimes, and pay billions annually for medical treatment for drug addiction and the many medical conditions that result from it. DEA agents partying down in South America is just a side show compared to this colossal failure. It's time we treat drug abuse for what it is: a social, economic, psychological, and medical problem. I had a front row seat to this horror movie for 17 years working as an Assistant U.S. Attorney.

Latest Republicans In Trouble Virginia Former Governor Bob McDonnell Convicted Along With Wife Maureen Of A Combined 20 Federal Corruption Counts Each To Face Decades-Long Prison Term

Saturday, 6 September 2014, RICHMOND, VA - In what appears to be a growing national epidemic of criminal misdoing by elected and appointed Republican government officials as well as their cronies and family members Virginia's former Republican Governor Bob McDonnell and his wife Maureen this past Thursday 4 September 2014 were convicted by a federal jury on "overwhelming evidence" of corruption charges encompassing conspiracy, bribery and extortion.  Despite Republican pundits' unrealistically trite public dismissal of the federal indictments against the pair as unfounded not unlike the current case of federally indicted Texas Idiot Governor Rick "Payback" Perry the jury apparently did not agree characterizing the evidence against the Republican former Governor and his wife as "overwhelming" and in just seventeen hours of deliberations returning with guilty verdicts on eleven federal corruption counts against McDonnell and nine federal corruption counts against his wife Maureen.  Republican pundits and the pair reportedly responded with "shock" to the verdicts which could land them in federal prison for the rest of their lives.
The link below is to the most recent New York Times article to be published today regarding the prospects of the pair's appeals particularly expected to be based on one of the Court's jury instructions which contains further links in the article's body and sidebar to earlier Times articles providing further details on the trial and Thursday's convictions.

Impeachment Of Perry U-Texas Regent Republican Appointee Wallace Hall Voted Overwhelmingly By House Committee For Violating Criminal State And Federal Law At Perry's Direction

Tuesday, 13 May 2014, AUSTIN - Texas Republican criminal corruption scandals widened as lame-duck Idiot Governor Rick "Payback" Perry's decades of criminal acts and cover-ups continued to unravel as a Texas house committee voted 7-1 to charge landmark specific articles of impeachment against Perry U-T Regent appointee alleged criminal Wallace Hall reportedly placed by brain-dead Perry to perpetrate further state and federal criminal acts from Republican Wallace's "inside" position, with Wallace relentlessly attacking fellow state officials in ill-disguised illegal efforts to oust UT-Austin President Bill Powers.
With the prison doors one step closer to slamming shut on lame-duck Idiot Governor Rick "Payback" Perry the laser-sighted six-shooter carrying in his running shorts Governor-In-Absence Perry's spokespersons denied all requests Idiot Perry demand Wallace's resignation. However behind the scenes Perry sycophants presumably hastened plans to escape to asylum in Japan should Moron Republican AG Gregg "Dark Money" Abbott not buy the upcoming Texas gubernatorial election with his complete lack of popular support among true hard-working Texans giving their blood and sweat to restore the Lone Star state to pre-Perry glory where they also can once again breathe clean air, drink clean water and earn a decent living wage for themselves and their families.
Felons possibly soon to include Perry are not permitted to carry firearms for the safety of the general popuIation including coyotes. Meanwhile impeachment proceedings continue in coming days against state and federal Republican criminal suspect U-T Regent and fellow-Abbott Republican Wallace Hall for what will be only the third time they have been used in Texas history.      Saturday, 5 April 2014, AUCKLAND, NEW ZEALAND - Criminal acts against and/or directed at the Ninth Amendment and individuals associated with it of which appropriate authorities are aware continue despite this site's recent post that coverage of New Zealand individuals' and entities' criminal actions and endemic corruption currently were being curtailed due to the Ninth Amendment's need to preserve resources for other reporting.
Most recent evidence of which appropriate authorities have been advised have been the appearance in Google's security information of site access from another IP address not known to be lawfully associated with this site identified by Google as IP 184.6.251.66 showing the geographical address of 448 Florida 20, Tallahassee, FL identified approximately by Google and showing images of the Florida Historical Capitol Museum.
Further factual information of which the Ninth Amendment is aware and has communicated is that normally appearing referring sites and URL's largely identified as being associated with Google and entities such as The New York Times have disappeared showing instead referring site www.voltaa.com:888:/cyberpu. . . . and URL as http://www.voltaa.com/users/sign_in. This URL on the computer screen showing at its address reads: "Slurry Factory Application copyright Hacksurfer" with a log-in box below required username and password. Since the first publication of this post the above addresses now show the above changed and/or corrected partly by the Ninth Amendment to the above as referring site www.voltaa.com:888 and the URL as http://www.voltaa.com:888/cyberpu....
The Ninth Amendment greatly appreciates the continued support of all legitimate and well-intentioned Ninth Amendment readers and appropriate authorities including those investigating criminal acts associated with actions by all persons or entities conspiring to, attempting to, possessing knowledge of in advance or after, and actually committng acts directed at and/or impacting this site and and/or New Zealand private and public corruption previously identified by this site. "Dark Underbelly Of New Zealand Corruption" Posts Curtailed By Ninth Amendment Preserving Resources For Ongoing Reporting Needs To Readers In United States And Worldwide

Sunday, 30 March 2014, RIYADH, SAUDI ARABIA - In consideration of the Ninth Amendment's ethical duty to readers in the United States and worldwide to preserve needed resources for necessary reporting on diverse matters globally the Editorial Board has resolved to curtail at this time reporting on serious matters of endemic corruption among individuals and conspiring groups presently in positions of power in New Zealand such that they remain able to divert and misuse for improper and illegal purposes significant official resources to further their own improper, unlawful and criminal enterprises.
Recent events have afforded opportunities for facilitated investigation and particularly rare public glimpses into, i.e., intertwined connections between private wrongdoing and public corruption in New Zealand as touched upon in some recent posts in the Ninth Amendment. The Editorial Board regretfully has reached the decision that lost and threatened resources of the Ninth Amendment including economic and time costs of interference encompassing criminal actions causing significant damage and harm to persons, equipment, communications indeed every element of continuing ongoing publication should not be sacrificed at the expense of our duty to readers to provide the quality, depth and diversity of reports readers have come to expect of the Ninth Amendment.
We remain confident the appropriate domestic and worldwide regulatory and enforcement agencies which already are aware of and have assembled much of the pertinent evidence, including those as appropriate based in the United States as well as without limitation global banking, taxation, environmental and criminal regulatory and enforcement agencies, will achieve the inevitable result of bringing those responsible to justice including their facing and making reparation for in certain cases enormously costly consequences of their actions.
We trust that the New Zealand judiciary including some of the particularly objectionable mechanisms of interference with individuals' rights and public justice with which it is burdened, at least until it has properly matured, will reconnect with the awesome heritage of the legal system of the mother country of the Commonwealth, including hopefully reconnecting with the Privy Council and ditching New Zealand's ruling party's recent replacement of that venerable body with its partisan "Supreme Court" as the ultimate arbiter of New Zealand's judicial affairs.
The Editorial Board of the Ninth Amendment is aware that our decision may disappoint some readers but hopefully will come to be recognized as necessary when all the facts in due course come to light. In the meantime we particularly encourage readers worldwide to stay aware of and throw and keep their support constant for the brave actions of the New Zealand individuals and press, including particularly The Herald, the Sunday Herald and the National Business Review in their continuing fight to make New Zealand the country which it can be and the world largely mistakenly now believes it to be.
The Ninth Amendment Editorial Board is humbled (not to mention somewhat confused) by the steady growth of diversity of our readership including the addition on average of new readers in more than one new country a month and now covering virtually the entire Northern and moving into the Southern Hemisphere of the Earth. We particularly welcome our relatively large new numbers of readers from Commonwealth countries, with grateful recognition of the significant numbers now stopping by our site from the United Kingdom and Canada, which we always heard was a great place to live.
For more on New Zealand corruption see www.kiwisfirst.co.nz. In the as near-perfect words as words can be drafted from Thomas Jefferson into the United States' Declaration of Independence, "We hold these truths to be self-evident. . . ." And so they may be to all peoplekind without regard for country or border.
