California Teacher Pension Fund Considers Reducing Major Investments In Assault Weapon, Banana Clip Makers -- Gun Dealers Thrive In Wake Of Newtown Massacre

Sunday, 13 January 2013, SACRAMENTO, CALIFORNIA - The California Teachers Pension Fund, the country's largest teachers' pension fund as well as its largest such investor for many years apparently has helped California teachers live out more comfortable retirements by investing heavily in manufacturers of arms including guns and ammunition of all types, including military guns illegal in California, more lethal military ammunition, and high-capacity so-called "banana clips" for the effective uninterrupted firing of rounds from assault and other military weapons.
The California Teachers Pension Fund reportedly is considering reducing such investment in the wake of the Nation's most recent weeks' domestic firearms massacre as almost always perpetrated by male teenagers and unhappy younger men armed with easily legally obtained military assault weapons outfitted with banana clips and/or other accessories to help insure the uninterrupted (and unskilled) hunting down of tens of unarmed schoolchildren and other civilians.
Particularly infamous such massacres have occurred in Columbine, Ohio, as well as others by somewhat older males in the attempted slaying at an Arizona "meet and greet" of United States Representative Gabrielle Giffords shot through the middle of the head, the Texas clock tower sniper, the San Ysidro, California McDonald's massacre particularly frustrating to law enforcement as it continued unabated for about one half hour as the restaurant had all mirrored windows and thus obscured officers' vision as the killer methodically hunted down diners outfitted  in camouflage gear and face paint who before leaving home down the street reportedly told his wife he was "going out hunting".
Other such massacres allegedly have been perpetrated by more uniquely memorable aggressors such as the soft-spoken Army psychiatrist who in recent years left his office at Fort Hood and walked along a row of near-naked unarmed soldiers awaiting physical exams and shot them to death one by one. To his credit Idiot Texas Liar Governor Rick "Payback" Perry himself did use only his (laser-sighted) "six-shooter" for "defensive" purposes to become the first person known in North America to claim that the killing was in self-defense of an attacking coyote while Perry was out on his morning run with his enormous armed security detail. (He corrected reports of his account during the following day upon learning a coyote never had attacked and killed a human in North America with his revised story of having pulled the laser-sighted revolver from the back of his running shorts and killing the coyote in defense of his Labrador Retriever.)
Right on the heels of the country's most recent massacre in Newtown, Connecticut the proprietor of a four times annual gun "show" in Saratoga Springs, New York told media that he was determined and proud to continue with his gun "show" with apparent strong support of many gun "show" attendees whose hands he personally shook as they entered the "show" less than a month after the Newtown massacre. Many attendees congratulated him on his bravery and fortitude on going ahead with the "show" even in the face of angry verbal protests against it. Meanwhile his wife attested to the selling out of military assault-style weapons and accessories at their own gun shop as well as others around the country, with a line of waiting mostly male buyers she described as lined up for two blocks waiting to get in and make purchases.
The use of quotations as follows around the word "show" is intended to suggest that the Ninth Amendment editorial staff believes to some extent the word "show" in the context of basically completely uncontrolled arms flea markets across this country on Main Street, USA attended by effectively unregulated sellers and buyers of questionable legal status to be engaging in the sale of what are often basically akin to weapons of war might be considered by some to be a misnomer which is better avoided as misleading..
In the wake of the most recent Newtown massacre debate raged across the United States if the ready availability of such weapons of war has been a positive domestic development for the United States. Tens of thousands of gun dealers who have obtained virtual mail order "licenses" are authorized under United States law for the retail often effectively unrecorded trafficking in arms including those with no other apparent intended use other than engaging in warfare against armed combatants. Included amongst these are military assault weapons with marginally clever modifications to make them just as effective as those used by such groups as insurgents and criminal governments the world over.  Of course use in the United States considerably reduces the "fear factor" of having unarmed civilians such as schoolchildren actually fire back.
Nearly all purchasers reportedly are young men, many apparently purchasing such arms out of concern that some Government, presumably theirs, will attempt to abrogate some Constitutional right to own such weapons which they in some cases understand to emanate presumably from the Second Amendment to the United States Constitution. That Amendment implicitly provides for the establishment of a militia in times of need instead of the maintenance of a permanent standing army, such as was warned against by President Dwight D. Eisenhower in his final White House televised live address to the Nation. Such weapons, perhaps with none-to-difficult modifications, are expected by many who obtain them to provide for their defense should they be attacked by their own country. The United States, however, is known to possess weapons of mass destruction as well as large amounts of presumably heavier weaponry than assault rifles.
Our hearts and prayers go out to all innocent souls whose lives directly and indirectly have been harmed and/or destroyed by the past weeks most recent United States home soil massacre. God Bless America.

Mitt Romney and the Republican Clown Rodeo Keep Peeling Back the Endless Onion of Lies (Per Krugman)

Sunday, 22 July 2012, NEW YORK, NEW YORK - The Editorial Staff and worldwide global bureaus of the Ninth Amendment are immensely excited now to be back in touch with our worldwide audience sincerely hoping that this post finds all readers, websurfers, and indeed any and everyone here on purpose or by mistake in good health and able to maintain the proper course whatever that may be. We emphatically remind READERS THEY SHOULD NOT BYPASS THE NEW YORK TIMES PAYWALL SIMPLY BY SETTING READERS' FREE FIREFOX BROWSERS TO "PRIVATE BROWSING". So who is getting richer, who is getting poorer and who does not know? Please raise your hand.
The following comment was submitted by the Ninth Amendment to the New York Times in response to Professor Paul Krugman's alarming piece exposing Mitt Romney to a continuing to all that the man is a liar and like Republicans overall he is just another onion which reveals endless peals of nothingness as he is peeled down to one endlessly metamorphosing lie.
This comment below to the best of the Ninth Amendment's knowledge was NOT published digitally or otherwise by the New York Times and therefore will only be available to those who read it here or somewhere else, including the soon to be maybe published "Not Necessarily the Best of the Ninth Amendment" which is not expected to be illustrated by Ralph Steadman nor any known blood relation of his.
The Ninth Amendment always found Mr. Steadman to be a most delightful personage even though he spat on his book which we bought when we asked him to sign it. It was an artistic TECHNIQUE.

COMMENT TO NEW YORK TIMES, FIRST NOT DIGITALLY PUBLISHED RIGHT HERE

And now direct from New York, the recent introduction to the Ninth Amendment Romney comment direct from the paper that prints "All the News That's Fit to Print" and apparently tosses the rest off somewhere into cyberspace. "Thank you for your submission. Your comment will appear once it has been approved." The comment subsequently was never approved, but no one said life would be easy. . . .
The Ninth Amendment at www.waronnothing.blogspot.com returns with enormous gratitude to our enthusiastic readers and especially our new immensely modest IT department having assembled a supercomputer with nada but components acquired on "clearance" at the corner Walgreen's for less than it costs the Department of Defense to get Dick Cheney's underwear drycleaned. For national security-like reasons all future communications will be in Linux "Doggy-Style Lite" before re-transliteration to Windows Armageddon Edition undoubtedly the worst, must cumbersome operating system ever devised by primates.

With deepest and abiding respect to Professor Krugman now determined to repeat that Mitt "tie my dog to the car roof please" Romney is nothing but a liar like his protege Texas Idiot Governor Rick "Someone Buy Me Please" Perry with only an onion ring at his core and a very long potential prison term lurking in his past. As for "Atlas Shrugged" only Thomas Pynchon should write books that long though we suppose it keeps certain people off the streets. For F. Scott's ruminations on the super-rich Professor Krugman why not skip on to "The Crack-Up" where they and their progeny doubtless end up? Oops out of time for the Galt's Gulch question would you please just turn to Wikepedia. So great back on the scene, looks as if this one's to be a first-rate clown rodeo worthy of the late great Dr. Hunter S. Thompson, just as soon as Arpaio and the Posse get to DC, if they get around New Mexico....

"Occupy CIA" Planned Not To Occur Friday 11 November 2011. 37,000 Foot Mean Altitude Stops Times Columnist From Providing Readers With Free Words? Perry Externs Last Post

Wednesday, 9 November 2011, NEW YORK, NEW YORK - Welcome back readers. Please do not read unlimited free digital New York Times content with free Firefox browsers set to "private browsing". This post actually was written most recently in early October. The Ninth Amendment editorial staff and global bureaus never went to the CIA headquarters nor has the Ninth Amendment ever even heard of the CIA, so-called "drones", or the "Occupy CIA Headquarters" event set for a birthday party this Friday.

The following post actually is the next one written before all of the above never happened. The Ninth Amendment believes the comment below never was published verbatim in response to favorite Times' columnist Professor Paul Krugman who called in sick because he would be flying around at a median altitude of 37,000 feet. Professor Krugman later admitted to the Times enforcement division that he had made up his excuse note.

Comment

Even with your major focus of late on economics sometimes quite detailed recently and in the past we find the obvious continuous eager interest and anticipation of your many readers to affirm the true gift of your talent, temperament, diversity of compelling thought and of course superb writing contributions. We at the Ninth Amendment log today only are left to wonder how one could achieve a MEDIAN altitude of 37,000 feet for a day presumably in a passenger aircraft, sir. Will you be circling the Earth? Do you work out of Area 51?

(This post the last to be written by Ninth Amendment externs in Texas Liar Idiot Governor Rick "Payback" Perry's English as a 10th language class and rodeo.)

What Do Texas Governor Liar Idiot Rick "Payback" Perry, Nevada's Area 51, CIA Hit Squads, and Republicans' Past Debate Have In Common?

Monday, 7 November 2011, AREA 51, NEVADA - Why, free entertainment, of course. This evening finds us in that remote extension of Edwards AFB in Southern Nevada known as Area 51 which the United States Government claims probably does not exist just like drones although it is on the USEPA Region IX's "Superfund" list while Administrative Law Judges have to anguish over whether crashed UFO's are hazardous waste, radioactive waste, mixed waste, or just what? Oh, well, the best kept secrets. Readers are reminded to refrain from reading free unlimited New York Times content simply by setting free Firefox browsers to "private browsing".
Speaking of free, a big thank you from the weary crew of the Ninth Amendment for yesterday's record readership. It just goes to show that our readers do want things for free, despite what the people who try to sell things for exponential multiples of what they are "worth" might say. The Ninth Amendment expects to pass viewership numbers of the Super Bowl any year now if television even exists next year, or maybe they will just put chips in everyone's heads and charge a monthly subscription. Maybe even Google will give back some of our ads even though we are out to expose the Google-CIA connection. Yes, Google and the CIA sure do have some big reinforced buildings stuffed with data right next to each other. On the other hand, ads do mean big money, especially at Super Bowl time.
In today's New York Times readers will have the treat of seeing how the CIA (Center for International Assassinations) "Destroying Democracy One Country at a Time" now has taken to sending out five-person hit squads around the planet since the "Agency" has been on such a roll with its drone assassin mania. Just imagine those big palettes of $100 bills from the bloated "Black Ops" budget being lowered from so many huge helicopters that not even Dick Cheney's BlackDeath contractors can get their greedy little hands on them all.
Anyone checked Cheney's IRS returns lately? Say perhaps the IRS? Cheney sure did very well financially for a public servant once he took the reins at the White House and ran it like Wall Street while Bush napped, tap-danced on the portico, or was just flown around the country and dumped at his ranch.
Anyway, almost time to go back underground, so to get to the point the Ninth Amendment has a backlog of comments that have been published in the Times. We therefore hereby offer up the following unedited Times' published Ninth Amendment comment when someone other than Texas Idiot Liar Governor Rick "Payback" Perry still took him seriously.

Thank you for your concise considered roundup of Tuesday night's latest Republican weekly debate showcasing a uniformly uninspiring cast of spent characters looking to replace Democrat President Obama. Naturally the 2012 Presidential election will be largely before President Obama even has had his fair chance of extricating the United States from the Republicans' most recent mind-boggling legacy of domestic and foreign disasters of historic proportions left behind as George "little shrub" Bush tap-danced off into the sunset and sped away in Air Force Pickup Truck One. Moreover the Republican debaters have enjoyed the soon-to-vanish benefit of Texas Governor Perry's debate participation by virtue of which all others present appear to border on genius level simply by virtue of demonstrating an ability to speak entire English phrases and sentences and to think in any language at all. The editorial staff of the Ninth Amendment log at www.waronnothing.blogspot.com applauds this Times' piece's subtle understated humor revealing the obvious truth of Texas Governor Perry having "less and less to lose" as he "goes for broke" in what better State than, naturally, Nevada. As to what Texas Governor Perry has up his sleeve for his expected full-on "aggressive" comeback attempt in next week's episode other than a six-shooter from which his aides no doubt will remove any live rounds, one can only guess. So what are the odds on what that one might be?

Get Free Internet, Free Internet For The People, More Free Things

Sunday, 6 November 2011, SALT LAKE CITY, UTAH - Do not come here to buy beer. Hello patient readers. Thank you for waiting albeit perhaps in temporarily waning numbers for the editorial board and assembled global bureau staffs of the Ninth Amendment to come up for air as we continue the circuitous trek to the CIA's "apparent" Langley, Virginia headquarters via Baja California and Belize. First the usual admonition not to read unlimited free digital content of the New York Times simply by readers' setting free Firefox browsers to "Private Browsing".
The fact for the day is that it is this year's end of daylight savings time right about now so readers in most places should be setting BACK their clocks except maybe in Arizona also the "State That Refused To Recognize Martin Luther King, Jr. Day" while keeping up Arizona's steady assault against the last vestiges of the United States Constitution. Why did they want to be a State anyway? And who would want to be in Arizona except perhaps some faithful Ninth Amendment readers who are waiting out the Alaska winter?
Or perhaps folks who would like Arizona drivers' licenses that expire only once about every quarter century so readers can drive until they are around 112 years old. Just be sure to get your car registered in Texas as it costs usually well under $100 a year in Texas Liar Idiot Governor Rick "Payback" Perry's "business and pollution state" and (we are told) can be registered under a trust in Texas or most states which therefore does not reveal the actual owner's name. THIS IS NOT INTENDED NOR OFFERED AS LEGAL ADVICE. READERS PLEASE GET PROFESSIONAL LEGAL ADVICE IF INTERESTED.
The Alaska fact for the day is that Ninth Amendment readers too can be Alaska state residents. Much of the Ninth Amendment staff who has resided in Rabbit, Alaska down the road from Chickaloon, Alaska knows that car registration although not so cheap as Texas includes Alaska's most excellent "The Frontier State" license plate or other plates including the United States' winning national license plate of gold miners climbing the Chilkoot Pass by our dear friend the outstanding artist Kathy Sarns.
Simply by living in the State of Alaska for six months plus one day annually one becomes an Alaska resident who then starting after the following year (of paying no state income tax) receives their share each Fall of about $2,000 interest from the Alaska Permanent Fund for every man, woman and child resident. Free 40 acre "homesteads" alas are a thing of the past unless perhaps one is willing to commit to several years in very remote area without roads and accessed only by foot, snow machine, helicopter, or airplane.
Now for the much awaited hidden fact for the day. Readers can in most places easily get free internet high-speed service (provided of course that it is meant to be free) simply by plugging a router adapter manufactured by companies such as 2Wire and Linksys into the (higher-speed) USB port in readers' computers (located in the front of most desktops), downloading some wireless software from any router and scanning for unencrypted WIFI signals or by using VPN or Google's Bay Area encryption wireless technology although distribution is limited.
The Ninth Amendment does not purport to be "techies" of any type, but luckily we have found by plugging simple phrases into a search engine such as Google, say "weak WIFI signal", readers should find all the answers they need to most any  question. (Such as "How do I make my semi Automatic Kalashnikov 1947 into a fully ...?" or "How does the CIA make bug drones? How do I make one?". Readers get the picture . Back to free internet, the cheapest place we have found to buy adapters? Goodwill- about $5. (Color televisions - about $2, but remember you must "Kill your television").
Readers must be careful as with unencrypted signals sensitive personal information should not be sent over wireless internet -- also hackers set up "FREE" WIFI hotspots with an intermediary passive computer to pick up unwary readers' sensitive information such as bank account, credit card, password information, etc.
It seems to be more or less like with the Feds and phones. The Feds and States thanks to historical Supreme Court precedent today only still need search warrants for corded telephone tapping. The Supreme Court has been only too happy to allow the State or anyone with money to spend at Radio Shack to listen in all it wants WITH NO WARRANT on anyone else's cell phone, portable phone, and so on. And most recently the Court has even eaten away at the corded telephone conversation protection, allowing "roving" taps as the Court just drools (literally, like Mr. Justice Thomas sleeping on his bare mattress with his huge stack of Playboys) at the chance to do away with the requirement of "probable cause" altogether.

Texas Idiot Liar Governor Rick "Payback" Perry "Unveils" Economic Plan (Including EPA Elimination and Okaying Alaska, Wilderness, Ocean Gas and Oil Drilling) Prepared By Oil and Gas Industry

Monday, 17 October 2011, WEST MIFFLIN, PA. - The Ninth Amendment reminds readers to refrain from READING FREE UNLIMITED NEW YORK TIMES DIGITAL CONTENT SIMPLY BY SETTING FREE FIREFOX BROWSERS TO "PRIVATE BROWSING".  Texas Idiot Liar Governor Rick "Payback" Perry this past Friday after admitting his horrific debate performances sought before an impartial audience of steel workers to redeem himself with the announcement of his totally unawaited "economic proposal" immediately identified as essentially stolen from a recent oil and gas industry "wish list".
The "fact for the day" is that Texas Idiot Liar Governor Rick "Payback" Perry's aides would not even respond to inquiries as to whether the "economic plan" merely regurgitated a recent oil and gas industry proposal that would allow drilling in every free square inch of the country, strip away all meaningful government regulations, and eliminate the Environmental Protection Agency which does not even have jurisdiction over nearly any of the oil and gas activity.
Today's "hidden fact for the day" is that attendees at the grand "comeback" moment readily noted that most anecdotal "facts" Texas Idiot Liar Governor Rick "Payback" Perry attempted to relate as he continued to practice his English as a tenth language were plainly incorrect with at least one being identified most likely as simply an outright lie. The "Business State" Governor is alleged to have acquired his most recently "shared" area of expertise in economics while studying animal husbandry at Texas A&M University which still will not acknowledge that it has any record of him ever existing.
The good news is that as Texas Idiot Liar Governor Rick "Payback" Perry relentlessly accelerates his freefall from politics forever whenever he opens his mouth he did venture without explanation to declare that his "economic plan" will generate 1.2 million jobs as unregulated oil and gas drilling presumably quickly ramps up throughout Alaska and whatever remains of the rest of the American wilderness and any surrounding bodies of water surrounding the United States.
Presumably these jobs will be created in the fields of medical and hospital care, natural disaster control, enormous expansion of federal agencies such as FEMA to arrive just in time to cart away bodies, and stupendous growth in funeral homes and cemeteries which apparently will have spacious areas of former wilderness now become gas and oil puddles in vast areas of dirt and waste in which to expand.
As to how Texas Idiot Liar Governor Perry's "economic plan" will do anything at all to help abate in any way the current United States' and resulting global recession now thought to be the worst since the "Great Depression" and yet another crowning legacy of the administration of Perry's former boss never-elected "President" George "little shrub" Bush (after Perry changed from Democrat into Republican) was not touched upon by the "candidate" testing the limits of gravity's acceleration for his irreversible crash-landing probably amidst a top-polluting refinery or heavy industry plant in Texas home of the nation's dirtiest air.
Or, if any meaningful recovery plan were announced or attempted to be explained, the steel workers' coffee break already had ended and anyone else such as freelance reporters also had left in disgust at seeing an apparently grown man insistently continue to humiliate himself before a nation and world that long ago lost all interest in him in his desperate attempts at immortality as being the stupidest candidate ever to run for President of the United States.
