Tuesday, 1 April, SANTIAGO, CHILE - An 8.2 magnitude earthquake just has been reported to have hit Chile with six and one-half foot and growing Tsunami waves now hitting the coast of Chile. The coast of Chile now is under evacuation with Tsunami waves expected to reach Japan in several hours and the southern coast of California up to Washington state in 12-15 hours which would be from about 9 a.m. EST (6 a.m. PST) tomorrow Wednesday, 2 April 2014. Although apparently not felt in Santiago the earthquake was felt most strongly in northern Chile and Peru. There are no further reports as to any deaths or injuries at this time with Chile's coast under evacuation with more Tsunami waves approaching.
