Sunday 12 June 2011, WASHINGTON - The Ninth Amendment again reminds its readers not to READ UNLIMITED NEW YORK TIMES DIGITAL ARTICLES FOR FREE SIMPLY BY SETTING FIREFOX BROWSERS' TO "PRIVATE BROWSING". Just this past week Texas Governor Rick "Six-Shooter" Perry allegedly was caught trying to do this as he attempted to read his first Times' article ever but was stymied by his inability to recognize the word "browsing".
Meanwhile the nation is being stirred into a completely manufactured frenzy speculating if "Six-Shooter" Perry will run for President in 2012 in direct contradiction to his pledge in his book (no, not his book about being a Boy Scout) "Fed Up" in which he bashes the United States, therefore including all those who have fought and died for this Country and all that it stands for of which Governor Perry has no comprehension whatsoever. One of Governor Perry's favorite scare tactics is to threaten the rest of the U.S. with Texas seceding (and presumably being overrun and reclaimed by Mexico within an hour).
Governor "Six-Shooter" aka "Coyote-Killer" Perry appears to be following in the same strategic crooked footsteps of George "little shrub" Bush of 1999, when Perry as Bushs' Lieutenant Governor apparently remembers "President" (never really elected) Bush himself also pledging not to run for President and then doing so within a matter of a couple weeks. Governor Perry incidentally makes no secret of his hatred for his former boss Bush perhaps because "little shrub" Bush reminds Perry so much of himself.
Now "Six-Shooter" Perry is playing it coy while he lets his aides drop "hints" that Perry may indeed run for President in 2012. Apart from this proving Perry's being a complete liar, it also would further expose him nationally for the complete hypocrisy he has espoused since starting his political career as a Democrat. In his second decade as Governor, Perry has proven himself to be a corrupt idiot whose sole and favorite issued is that he needs more federal troops to keep the Mexicans from invading and re-taking Texas.
A Ninth Amendment review of a decade of Mr. Perry's gross income reveals a huge spike in 2007 to almost $1.1 million for a man who averaged about $175,000 over that ten-year period. Not bad for a person "devoting" themselves to being a public servant. This perhaps may have had to do with Perry's criminal land dealings culminating in his "Horseshoe Bay" brilliant land purchase and sale set up entirely by wealthy "friends" who knew Governor "Six-Shooter" Perry NEVER forgot to return a favor. In any case, 2007 also marked the year in which the "deeply religious" Perry also coincidentally gave about the least money he ever had in church donations. He reported these charitable donations as totaling NINETY DOLLARS for the year.
Now amidst all his other antics as the time to jump in the Presidential race comes upon him, Mr. Perry has the "Day of Fasting and Prayer" to look forward to later this summer to which he has invited the Governors of all fifty states. So far one Governor has RSVP'd to attend. So readers, please remember the Ninth Amendment NEVER endorsed Perry for President, the Ninth Amendment simply was the first to call the Perry-Palin juggernaut taking the 2012 Presidential Election from President Obama. This sadly is in no small measure due to the Mr. Obama's hypocrisy and broken campaign pledges most recently demonstrated by his Administration's failure to do anything to end the phony ruinous "War on Drugs" even as of this Friday it marks its FORTIETH year of complete failure.

My father was a drug enforcement agent, as was his father, and his father's father's father before them. The last sentence of this post impugns an ancient and venerable tradition of employment.
ReplyDeleteDear Anonymous,
ReplyDeleteThank you for taking the time to read this post and communicate to us your honest feelings. Your comments on any post are always welcome here and will be shared with our readers just as our own posts. Our editor having himself served for a decade as a federal law enforcement official (although not drug enforcement)we sincerely do not mean to disrespect the employment of law enforcement personnel. We truly appreciate the sacrifices of those such as the generations of men in your family who have risked their safety and indeed their lives to try to make our society a safer and more secure place to live. Frankly, we did not realize the tradition of drug law enforcement went back so far as your comment indicates. We only wish to emphasize that in our own experience and from many sources such as the book "Deep Cover" we are sympathetic to and mean no disrespect to the many loyal and devoted agents out in the field, However, they are we believe all too often left out alone and in danger when they are abandoned in the midst of key operations. These agents are the ones putting their lives on the line but then may find that they are not provided the back-up and support that they were promised. After decades of drug policies that have unfortunately resulted all too often in increased levels of drug violence and abuse, we respectfully suggest that the time has come to re-think the method of drug law enforcement and perhaps more effectively regulate and treat those who have drug problems rather than introduce them into the criminal system from which they may never escape.
