Guatanamo Illegal Detainee Torture and Detention Victims Begin Getting Payouts

Friday, 19 November 2010 - BRITAIN - Guantanamo Bay illegally held prisoners and victims of torture begin to get payouts. Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, once a United States mililtary base after the Cuban revolution became after the Cheney and cronies faked September 11, 2001 "terror attacks" and the entirely unConstitutional Bush Administration "Patriot Act" spiritual home to the United States violation of human rights of persons illegally brought there from all over the world.
Unlike the United States created against all odds by our Founding Fathers who had "nothing to lose" just like the Muslim world of today, "Gitmo" as the former base fondly called was based on the principles of indefinite confinement without charges and torture since the Cheney and crony phony "terror conspiracy". The United States operated it, and apparently sometimes still does by those who have not yet received the memo that it is closed (such as those making CIA night "drop-offs").
This week the first of unknown yet to come plaintiffs from around the world received a multi-million dollar settlement from British "spy agencies" for torture and inhumane imprisonment who would prefer pay the plaintiffs off than let the truth be known about the British use of Gitmo.
The number of charges from other tortured and wrongly held and detained Gitmo "guests" is so far unknown. Of course the existence of the facility only serves to prove that the Cheney and crony "terrorists" have "won" the first part of their "phony war" by largely destroying the US Constitution. Of course George Washington and the Revolutionary Army too beat the unbeatable British because they also had "nothing to lose."
The United States which once was governed by the best governance document ever created, the United States Constitution, no longer adheres to that document and is despised the world over for the United States failure to abide by any international law as it freely moves around the world engaging in undeclared "conflicts", torture and murders people of all countries. The United States now is run by a huge group of government-funded (unknown to taxpayers) public and "private" criminal agencies who answer to no one but their profitmasters.
Americans meanwhile watch television commercials, listen to politicians who are paid mouthpieces for huge corporations, and think so far as they are able with the educations of second graders or while spending their lives in prison for non-violent crimes.
Do you remember when the United States stood for anything positive and people other then the richest 3% had anything to live on?
Do you remember when farmers from New England without shoes or weapons spent the winter nearly freezing and starving to death keeping the British fleet locked in Boston and the Harbor. Finally fooling the British by stealth dragging artillery silently one night through mud until sunrise while the British slept and woke to an overwhelming force of firepower on an island bearing down on the British fleet, and forcing the British fleet to flee for their lives.
Do you remember the Americans did this for YOU, to preserve your liberties, which the Republicans, rich, ignorant and the greedy godless multinationals now have robbed you of little by little until you do not even realize you do not have any liberties or anything else left? You are nothing but a cog in the rat race to see how fast you can go broke while the top 1% of Americans have everything that YOUR people fought for and spilled their blood, and gave their lives. So what are you going to do?
